Solid hike. Not too intense on the way to Muir beach but definitely a work out on the way back but worth it with the views. Apply sun screen very little to no shade!

- Parking: I started and ended at Land's End Eagle Point. There's usually lots of spots along the road where I began.
- Views: beautiful!
- Traffic: there were a lot of people on a sunny Sunday afternoon. That, combined with the relatively narrow trails, made the walk slower than expected.

awesome hike. many things to see. very dog friendly!

- From Miwok trail to Muir beach: 3.3 miles. Out and back: 6.6 (parked on Marin drive)
- Intense work out with lots of uphills and downhills
- Views: city/north bay and coastal

Going down to the cove at the end is a bit challenging with the rocks, but it’s well worth it at the end

Great hike with shade. Beautiful views along the coast. Came here on a Saturday morning before 10am and was able to find parking in the Lands End Lookout parking lot. After our hike, cars were waiting around for parking. Highly recommend.

Wonderful place. Relaxed easy hike. Better on weekdays

just hiked it yesterday. nice views, but I never did find the waterfall mentioned above.

Rodeo Valley Trial does NOT allow dogs! I almost got a ticket, but thankfully a couple with dogs warned me they just received a ticket from the park ranger ahead and I was able to turn around in time. I started from Bunker Road and went up the Rodeo Valley Trial. The mile I made it along the the trial was chill. Tons of cyclists there.

Sundays are quite busy, but Mondays this trail is nearly empty. There are a lot of wildflowers and it is currently early April. beautiful trail.

You’ll park in the neighborhood then walk up a long driveway to the trail. Starts off steep, ends steep on the way back. Moderate hike overall. The fog was rolling in and laying perfectly on the canyon and when we arrived to the beach it was perfectly sunny! gotta love Mt Tams micro climates :) beautiful day!

Gorgeous views - definitely very busy but the scenery makes all the traffic worthwhile

Steep climb and descent but great views

Great trail, mostly because it is so close to SF and surrounding area. An easy 20 minutes drive from SF and your in the coastal mountain ridge line. Beautiful!

Yes it’s not dirt but once you get up to the top you can choose dirt and take other trails along the ridge. Great way to spend the morning!

Very Nice short hike with a solid incline at the beginning. You can street park in the residential area near the trailhead. The first part of the hike (before it forks) is pretty steep but after that it’s mostly flat-ish, minus a bit of stairs near the summit. Pretty trees and (on a clear day) a stunning view of Marin! Took us about 2 hours to complete but we stopped a lot and walked fairly slow. Saw a few other hikers along the way. The app says 3.3 miles but my recording says we went 3.9 miles. I would definitely do this one again!! Could be a great workout if you power walk/jog this trail.

Amazing views. Around every turn was another incredible sight. This is a must do if you're in the area.

This is Bay Area winter running at its finest. Windy and hilly but still sunny! The views make the concrete worth the effort. The dirt trails begin after the missile area which is now unkempt and heavily graffitied.

Great easy hike for the weekend! Great views of the bridge.

We modified this trail a bit by starting at Rockaway Beach and skipping the trail that leads to and from the college. It was about two miles shorter doing it this way. We went counter-clockwise and the first three miles were straight up with amazing views everytime we turned around. The top flattened out for about a mile and then you head back down with those same amazing views in front of you!
Crossing the road was pretty annoying. You have to be prepared to wait for a break in traffic and then run to the middle of the road, wait for another break in traffic and run to the other side.
We walked about a block through the neighborhood and connected with the lower Mori point trail (bathrooms) and then it was about .3mi to connect back with the coastal trail to Mori Point or you could continue on the lower trail and take a steep set of stairs to get up to Mori Point.
The views from Mori Point are fantastic! We timed it so we could be there around sunset, which is why we parked at Rockaway Beach.

Simply the most beautiful hike close to a major US metro in my opinion.

Nice trail and great view of pacific + peninsula once you get to Sweeney ridge

Really neat trail! Beautiful cliffs for the ocean waves to break on. Gorgeous views of the bay. Enjoyed the trees that looked like they had been trimmed and were cleaning up after.

Easy loop, great view, best to go on a weekday though if you can.

Short trail, good for kids, our kids enjoyed picking fennel leaves and sour grass, and they loved gallivanting on the beach.

Beautiful hike but as of today there’s no more swing. It’s been cut off.

Great trail for on-leash dog hiking! We walked out 5 miles and back 5 miles from the north end. It was open and exposed the whole time (no walking in forested areas—that’s farther south) with a wide trail and beautiful views of the hills and the nearby bay. There is a point 1.2 miles from the trailhead where it’s unclear whether you should go through a gate and continue left or walk left on the current side of the fence — go through the gate!! The misleading path is a cattle path. Speaking of which — the cows can be extremely *friendly*, thinking you are bringing them food. If you have dogs (especially heelers) make sure you’re following the leash rule for their safety. It can be INCREDIBLY windy, so make sure you dress accordingly. I plan on going back and trying an out-and-back from the southern end.
