Great hike to enjoy the wilderness, also easy hike for kids

Great up and down trail. Jogged it at an easy pace. Great occasional views but mostly through the forest. Beautiful!

I was looking for a nice morning hike close to our rental cabin and this was the perfect match! It’s a nice established trail with a lot of shade and trees. Some distant views of the lake but not too many. I hit the trail at 7:30 am and only encountered three other hikers and a couple mountain bikers...so it’s nice! Recommended!

This trail is a great, simple, out and back journey for a jog with a view! It has potential to link up with lots of other connecting trails too.

Its very pretty. Only didn’t do 5 because there are prettier lakes in deso. I didn’t see leaches although would have liked too :) some creek crossing- there seemed to always be trees to crossover but at one point I did take boots off and cross. It was fun, and didn’t see 1 would entire hike. Supposedly good for horses.

Nice trail, pretty easy hike.

We really enjoyed this trail. It was challenging for us (but would probably be easy for those who hike frequently). Had a couple of nice views of the lake and a nice little creek at the end.

Nice hike up but could not cross the falls in May. Views would of been spectacular i al sure

great primitive hut to rent, reserve online at recreation.gov During the winter snowshoe or AT ski in for a night. Spectacular sunsets during clear skies. heat and a privy are provided, everything else including water you must bring.

A little too manicured for our taste but a really lovely wooded walk. We took an off shoot down to the creek that was two miles round trip and that was a good workout. all in all a nice day.

Great waterfall and beautiful views of South Lake Tahoe!

Nice clear trail, just make sure you stay to your left when you enter. There’s a creek and a bit of a view of Lake Tahoe at the end, then walking back you see the lake most of the way.

Good fun and fairly straightforward for most of it.

Great for mountain bikes. Uneventful hike. Catch a glimpse of South Lake Tahoe and the stream at the end is nice but otherwise I would prefer some better views. It's an easy hike if that's what you are looking for.

Gorgeous waterfall but got lost on the way back, went off trail and got lyme. My fault for getting lost and not backtracking immediately. Still recommend the trail though! Majestic mountainside trail n waterfall.

Short hike, not bad on return trip up hill. It looks steep on the map but the side hill really makes it easy.
Trail is well traveled.

Excellent moderate 7.1 mile loop hike south of Jenkinson Lake (Sly Park) right past the two dams. Popular with mountain bikers and hikers.

The reason they call the lake Bloodsucker is not only for all the bugs, the lake is also full of leaches. Be careful going in the water the leaches will swarm on you. Easy hike to a beautiful little lake

This was a beautiful, but relatively easy hike, the lake was stunning! A word of warning though, do not go into this lake unless you are willing to get leeches! we saw dozens of them while standing along the shore!

Lake was cute. Called Bloodsucker for a reason - lots of hungry bugs. It is still wet in areas this July and requires a creek crossing near the beginning. A nice hike with some steady elevation gains. No switchbacks, but enough to get the heart pumping.

Easy hike down to falls.
hike back up was enough grade to get your heart going.
but overall a easy hike.
Falls were awesome!

It was a beautiful hike. We enjoyed it. Nice views of Lake Tahoe and a beautiful flowing stream at the end.

This is a nice trail (s) with some beautiful sites. The only issue that we had was that there are many offshoots and nothing really marking the trail that I could see to help better guide us along the way. We originally planned this as a training run for my daughter to practice her cross country running, but is hard with out a clearly marked trail.

Great hike near Ski Run blvd. Great views. Up and down rolling hills none too difficult. I would hike it again.

Awesome trail and views

Difficult parking at the trail head. I wouldn't try this in the winter months when the trail is covered in snow. I did this is March and had a tough time following the map. Went off trail for most of it. Enjoyed a long break at the top with a little view of the lake. So nice to breath the fresh air.
First solo hike in a while.

For snowshoeing , it is great place. 5.8mile with snowshoe is not easy, especially last uphill, but there are great reward, spectacular views. it is awesome.

Nice I close to SLT hike. More of a walk. Be sure to hit one of the rock outcroppings you get to first for good views. Otherwise more of a forest walk. burn and first Mgt. Make sure you make it to the stream 3/4 way in!
