Great moderate trail. Parking lot was closed but easy parking just a quarter mile past trailhead. I highly recommend doing this trail counter clockwise as the trail is still open in both directions. The actual elevation gain was 945ft and 5.6 miles from the parking location. Trail loop itself was 5.2 miles. The added perk of the sandstone caves was really fun.

I powered through this on a rainy afternoon. Only crossed paths with one pair of bikers. Great hike but not sure I'd want to bike it! Feels nice and remote.

Refreshing hike during the shelter in place situation but there no big view points. Went on a Friday so there was not much crowd but the parking was almost full. Completely shaded and good hike.

For most of the part (not all), the trail is wide enough to allow you to keep your distance.

Had to park further down and took a longer route which ended up being 5.5mi. Hike was pleasant though, very doable for kids as well

Pretty good trail - the parking lot is closed but there was parking about a quarter mile up the road. It’s on the easy side of moderate - if you’re going counterclockwise, there’s a long downhill followed by a gradual uphill. It’s a bit muddy in parts but otherwise it’s a well kept trail

Lots of bugs on this trail but other than that great hike

Nice and quite hike. Fully shaded

It was a great hike. Other than the parking lot at CM01 Skeggs is closed I was able to park about 1/4 mile before it at Cm02 which has limited parking but was empty. From there we jumped into the Sierra Morena trail which then connected to Tafoni trail and did the loop. Be careful for Bananas Slugs

Ok... This period is the best specially on sunny days. 80% of trail is shadowed, everything is green, nature is waiking up after winter, animals are showing up, flowers and the small of them are everywhere. The trail is well mainteined. Some parts of trails are suitable for bikes, so please pay attention and let them pass safely. By the way we found couple of very expensive sport sunglasses and leaves then on the start point of the trail, hope owners will find them there.

21 banana slugs. Beautiful moderate hike. Goes along a stream for the first mile. Parking for it was closed but a pullout a little ways down the road opposite the trail worked fine.

If you’re looking for a fun quick hike this is it! The parking lot is closed but there is parking on the side of the road less than a mile from the trailhead. The hills weren’t too steep and there was families on the trail as well so it’s fit for anyone

Excellent hike, except the unreliable AllTrails app crashed halfway through the hike. Great diversity of biomes, a little car noise at the beginning when you’re along Skyline, and some sections of treacherous, rutted trails due to mountain bikes, but overall a great hike. The distance is wrong on this listing though. A full hike of this route is closer to 12 miles, not 11.4.

I recorded length of 8.5 miles, not 7.9. Started counter clockwise and was worried about trail going down the hill for first 3.5 miles, who wants to climb up for another 5? But it was not that bad, 3 or 4 steep climes up, short ones. Last part of the trail you walk on the road, I did not like it...

Trail through a forest, not much to see

Lots of shade, would be nice hike during summer time, not that it was not good in February. Good, dry trails, not too busy. More mountain bikers then hikers. Couple of miles up the hill in the last part.
