trail running

This is my twice weekly trail run so I'm biased. Just don't sprint and slow down around the many corners (to avoid running into small children) and you'll be fine. Make sure you don't stop at the trail end and go all the way around the lake. Find the stone spillway and the "new" bridge; bonus points if there is a wedding photographer there. Don't forget the " danger exercise sort of trail" or the Forgotten Splinter Pyramid or the I Can't Believe They Built This For Kids in the 80s Fort right next to it. There's also a little trail that heads up from near the Pyramid to split the nature trail if you only feel like a 5 minute walk.

Good Walk!

This isn't a real trail and goes on to private property. Supposedly the land is going to be donated and a real trail put in that will meet up with the Ellie Lane/ Iron Mountain Trail.

Bring a machete if you go. Finding your way up to the ridge is kind of fun and the giant rock face doesn't seem as big once you get up there. You can see a good chunk of Ramona from the top.

Fun short hike with some steep rocky climbs. Great view from the top.

That’s great one, if you go to the top, amazing view at the top .

Quite rocky and a bit washed out. Not a good choice if you have knee issues. But a nice walk in the county park

Definitely more of just a short walk. Perfect to do with my 4 year old.
Tip: Park on the street closest to the lake, then walk to the range station. There's also a playground next to the lake.

This hike was ok. My kids and dog and I hiked this today and it was pretty short. The view was pretty cool.

Great walk with kids who are not used to getting out and about fun first hike/bike ride for them. We will be doing this again in the near future.

The trail head is in the south west corner of Dos Picos County Park. It's not a defined or marked trail, but there is a way up to the top almost.
