We did this trail 8/11/17 and enjoyed it a lot. The creek crossing was quite boggy and wet - trail was mostly washed out. And the top of the trail (that middle 0.5 mile stretch) was NOT marked, and NOT maintained. Luckily there was a good GPS signal on AT&T in that area, so we used that and our trail finding skills to make our way going counterclockwise on the loop. Not many other hikers, and lots of mountain bikers early in the day. I give it a 4 star rating because of the trail maintenance issues.
