The road is a long and bumpy ride. We drove in a Toyota Rav and has no issues thankfully but it took us 3 hours each way. I wouldn’t mess around with this, we saw no one out there.

The Grandstand or black rock structure was so awesome. It sticks out on as a stark distance between the playa. We climbed around on the rocks easily, it was very fun. Some bigger lizards too.

The Sailing Stones were my favorite. Unfortunately, a lot of people have vandalized them and you can tell the rocks that made the trails are not the rocks that someone placed there. There are also a lot of trails with no rocks at the beginning or end. It’s disappointing no one has respect for such an awesome phenomenon. There are some legitimate ones but I wish they would keep a better eye on the place.

Easiness depends on what you climb. We climbed one of the bigger dunes in the back and we were huffing and puffing. Such an awesome experience though. We saw a coyote den in one of the valleys between the dunes. It was pretty neat. Even nicer when there’s no foot prints on the dunes.

Worth the small hike. Such a cool formation.

Very cool, went far out and the flats get nearer and more defined. Hot though!!!

Smooth marble canyon and fun dry falls to climb. The children loved exploring here.

nice easy hike, not too crowded and 87 degrees this morning.

Multiple different ways on to the path, look around. Death Valley is large so not all paths are well marked but tread paths are clear.

Walking on salt flats. Feel the heat at the lowest point in North America!

This was a nice hike through a canyon. 20 minutes total and nice to have shade from the canyon walls!

This is breathtaking. Don't worry about those saying that it's too populated. Definitely take the short trail to the overlook and then get away from the crowds by exploring down below. You'll get up close and personal with some seriously gorgeous scenery and won't see another human.

Neat to see, but not one of the best in Death Valley.

One of the most unique and fascinating places! Salt looks like the piles of dirty snow we get in the spring in Montana. A must do exploration!

A very unique walk on the salt flat! flat, can go as far as you want...must do!

A great canyon hike with lots of different options for every hiking skill level. Highly recommended climbing some of the spur trails to get great views of the valley.

My favorite hike in Death Valley. Cool marble canyon, quiet, easy hike. Just as you come out of the first tight canyon, go to the left and follow a footpath to the top of a rock hill and get some great photos of the canyon from above.

Safe to do with shoes off. Easy "hike", but can be tough if you choose to climb the taller dunes. You can pick how far you and which dunes you choose to climb. We went to the tallest peak and sat for a very sandy lunch (the wind can pick up and get sand in your food)! Go in the morning - especially if you want to do it with you shoes off - the sand facing the sun gets really hot on the way back.

The first part was definitely the tighest canyon, but just going the first .5 to .75 Mike's definitely cuts out a lot of cool views. after the tight canyons from start it grows into a huge walled canyon with so much more to see. I was planning on just going the first .5 miles based off recommendations but had to keep going.

The bridge is only 500 meters away from the trailhead. Honestly, it's not a place surprising me.

A must see place in the park.

Interesting. I only walked for several hundred meters as I arrived here too late, while I don't think it will be different even I went deep into the dunes.

A very special place. I strongly recommend you to come here if you go to Death Valley. In fact, just hiking the first narrow part is enough to see all the features of the trail.

Very cool formation. Hike is actually short. You drive up a unpaved and park in a small parking lot.

Great fun, worth the stop. No real trail, so we just pointed to a taller dune in the distance and hiked out to it.

This area is worth the time it takes to see. Hiked a little ways out past the rest of the people there. The pattern made by the Salt and the view of the entire valley is awesome. On your way back to the car be sure to find the sea level sign perched high above the road in the rock.
