My favorite trail in the South Bay. It has some awesome views that are well worth the scramble up the rocky parts. I’d recommend taking the trail counter clockwise (taking Ridge Trail by Goat Rock our and coming back down Saratoga). The trail by Goat Rock is hidden in some rocky parts and going up those areas is much easier than coming down!

Weather was foggy and damp, creating a mysterious misty vibe. You forget you're so close to the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley due to the quiet. I went on a Friday morning and encountered almost no one. The rocks were fun to explore! I didn't know about them beforehand, so they were a nice surprise. Trees and rocks were covered in bright green moss, creating a beautiful contrast to the red leaves on the ground. Falls were nearly dried up due to it being autumn. It was muddy due to the dampness, so wear good hiking boots. I unfortunately didn't finish the trail, but I'm definitely coming back to it.

The weather was foggy and damp, which I loved. The vibe was mysterious and quiet since I went on a Friday and rarely encountered anyone. You easily forget how close you are to the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley as you get lost in the leaves. I didn't know about the rocks here, which were cool to explore. They've been weathered by water and have these unique round holes in them. All the trees and rocks were covered in bright green moss, creating a nice contrast to the red leaves that have fallen on the ground. The falls were dried up due to it being autumn, unfortunately. I didn't get to finish the trail due to my schedule, but what I experienced was wonderful. Definitely going to come back soon!

This trail is easy and sooooooo fun! Lots of rock scrambling and amazing views!

There are no cons - it’s nature. Pros : It’s beautiful and smacked with intelligence

Great trail and great views

Time: ~2h30m Shade: Shaded almost everywhere Views: Stunning from certain points Traffic: Mild Parking: Decent street parking off Skyline Blvd Great workout. Great views - can even see ocean in the distance. One small section with chains bolted onto the rock for safety. Quite a few bugs, specially around sunset.

Such a beautiful trail! As you approach the entrance, there is free parking on the side of the road. If you drive a little further, there is a large parking lot that costs $10 for the day, with bathroom facilities and rangers giving out maps. The trail itself is very shaded, not too many inclines with great views of the mountains and some minor rock scrambling. Lots of rock climbers around, which were fun to watch. Saw some birds and deer.
