Did the Seabord to Crest loop and it was spectacular. Small creek, so many beautiful wild flowers phenomenal views. Great workout. Lots of steep up and downs. Nice trail. I would suggest staying in the trail. We took my dogs and went off trail for picnic and came out covered in nettles and ticks so that was a bit of a nuisance to have to pick off, but if you stick on the trail should be fine.

Park easy to find - heads up gates dont open until 8AM however parked down the street at Bear Creek staging area. Trail in good condition however you need long pants the first 1 mile - fairly overgrown. Steep on the font end but levels out. Very nice views - very little coverage Didnt see anyone until mile 6 however was on trail at 630

This hike is ok, kind of boring though. As far as possible routes at Briones, I think you can probably piece together something yourself that is a lot more rewarding. Personally I wouldn't consider this hard but it's all relative. There's one stretch right in the beginning that is a little rough if you're not prepared but after that, it's pretty easy. Decent hike, good distance for something after work before sunset but overall, I don't think I'd do this one again.

Great hike. It is definitely not hard, but I guess that’s relative. I will say it was moderate for anyone at slow, fun pace. Pretty scenic even when I went on a cloudy day. Did a good amount of detours and climbed the Briones peak, which is not for everyone. Good views though and a much easier way back down through other trails. Saw some wild turkeys and a fox; not to mention lots of cattle. Wear good gripped shoes with enough threads. Some downhill parts of the trail are pretty slippery without good shoes.

Briones was my playground for a decade and I've done every inch more times than I care to admit. I was the guy you saw who always had 2 or 3 Golden Retrievers with me for a decade.

Very muddy. Saw 25+ cows.

Awesome, trails all over with hills and great views of the delta/Mt Diablo.

great hike. we even kept going to the top of one of the hills. fantastic views to bencia to marin once you get to the top.

Challenging hike with quite a few long, steep sections, nice views and a good deal of shade even midday

Beautiful hike! A good way to start the new year!

This trail is sweet. I was looking for a trail with nice views that was easy enough for children yet still rewarding. The hike was pretty easy even for my 6 year old son. We were rewarded with awesome views of Mt Diablo and even got to see a coyote running around.

We parked at the Bear Creek Staging Area which costs $3 for parking if someone is at the kiosk or it's free to park if nobody is there to collect your money when you drive in.

This hike is a series of trails, so make sure you print out the pdf of the park map to bring with you and compare it to the map from All Trails. Even with that, we still managed to get lost. There is a lot of cow poop along the trail, so you will want to watch your feet so you don't step in any. You will also pass by cows who are near the trail, but they didn't bother us when we went and I made sure to give them space.

This trail made for a good winter hike and there was a bench mid way at 'Table Top' where we had our lunch. There are no significant features along the trail other than rolling hills and a couple small pools of water. I wouldn't take someone hiking here to impress them, but it's a good trail if you want to experience hiking at this park at least once.

Did this yesterday and what a beautiful day for a hike. . .Loved the cows.

Pretty, tons of cows, but a little on the short side. I ended up making this a loop via the crest and valley trail. Would definitely come back again.

Nice little hike along the creek. There is a gravel trail/road that is west of the creek and runs alongside the other trail. Make sure to get on the trail and not on the road at the beginning because you can't jump over the creek and will be in the sun the entire time if not. Nice views of Diablo and not crowded at all. Would be tough after any rain.

A few hills, some great views. What’s not to like?

Try and spot the coyote. I’ve seen one each time I have hiked this trail. It’s pretty neat

So many different trails you can take, we ended up doing a 6.5 mile hike, rather than the 2.4... My GF had control of the map.

Phew, that's a long one. Bring water.

An enjoyable 8+ mile loop with easy to moderate hills. The valley section is partly wooded, partly open range with lots of cows about. Atop the crest, the views of Martinez, Benicia and the Suisun Bay are beautiful. The trails consist of fire roads and heavily used tracks, mostly in good condition but with one or two washed out areas.

The first time I did this hike was with my son in 2003. The last time was 4 months ago solo and there were a few other times in between. Plenty of hills but not really long or very steep. Just enough to get a good cardio and be able to enjoy the views and getting a workout and some miles on your feet.

Instead of going out and back on the Briones Road Trail, I made a loop by going up to the Mott Peak Trail and the down to the Abrigo Valley Trail. This way I made the hike a bit invigorating and a little more interesting. Total distance was 4.4 miles with elevation 709 feet. It was still a moderate hike. For detail please my recorded track.

The trails were wide and well marked. There are plenty of the fabulous views of the open spaces, Mt. Diablo and the watershed. No much shade on the trails but thanks for the cool winds from the Bay making it a pleasant hike.
