WalkingGreat!

easy, 3.5 mile loop around the lake, narrow path, a bit rocky - suggest wearing pants in case of snakes. my pup loved the first 1.5 miles but then was pretty tired. I suggest parking at the lot in between the two sections and just doing the longer of the two sections, if you're bringing fido.

Great trail for young kids. Short enough they don’t get bored, shaded, and close to swimming area to cool off after.

Easy drive from Little Rock. This is my 4th time doing the Huckleberry Trail. I was hoping the creeks would be flowing more with the recent rain, but they weren’t. It’s a great Winter and Spring hike, for sure, and I assume Fall, as well.

Beautiful for August in Arkansas. Would be a 5 except all the creeks are dried out. Would be much more beautiful after a little more rain. Will have to come back!

This is a favorite. Good length and well marked. I prefer to park at the entrance of the park and hike uphill first. Shady and cool.

enjoyed the trip. first time. passed about 8 people on a mild summer afternoon. Some rocks, a couple of questionable intersections, but not lent to get on the wrong trail

Enjoyed when it was close to water. Well marked. Had wood, rocks. Wish the waterfall would have been running but it was dry.

Well maintained and well marked loop trail. Not muddy despite rainstorm about 24 h before. Mostly shady in forest. Easy to do with kids (9&11 y.o.) and our dogs. Not crowded at all - we went on a Sunday AM in June. We saw one other couple hiking the entire time we were out. A nice alternative to busier parks like Petit Jean or Pinnacle which are often more crowded.

I took my 6yo nephew on this trail. It was nice and quiet. A lot of trees and some overgrowth. He said it was good.

The whole family went out on this trail. It wasn’t too difficult, and my 11 year old loved it. There was plenty of shade, water, and lots of great views. We also found two geocaches.

Great trail to take the family. Was a well taken care of trail. We went during the fall and it was gorgeous. With it being on the mountain, it still felt like a hike rather than a boring walk. Only downside, the trails could be marked a little better.

Nice walk, but probably better later in spring or late fall. Trail markers vary from blue to red on Huckleberry Trail. Nice small state park.

Easy trail through the woods and next to a creek. We also took Gold Creek Loop as an addition to this (also easy). And then headed back to the car using the roundabout way to get on the lakeside accessible path.

Running

My go to trail for running. Always be aware of the MB folks out there. I always give way to them, it is primarily their trail in my view. Be aware runners that during rainy times, the creek will be swift.
