Great trail and rocks to scale.

Pretty easy hike. Beautiful views:)

Perfect trail for beautiful views of Pinnacle Mountain. I highly recommend taking this trail all the way to the east quarry trail.

I had hiked up the East side and descended the West. It was a little easier descending the West but way more people to navigate around. I loved every minute and am glad I went. This was a bucket list hike but not for the out of shape.

I had read very little about this trail but have heard about it from several friends. I didn't have any expectations. I was very surprised by all the boulder climbing but it was so worth it when I got to the top. This was a bucket list hike I'm glad I did.

This is a very beautiful trail. Going up the east side can be a little intimidating for some. Just take your time and rest as needed. Going down the west side is super easy and we seen more people once on it. Finishing by hiking around the base trail back to the parking lot was very casual.

Great! Beautiful views on the East Quarry spur along with some old yuccas, daffodils, summer snowflake, and prickly pear cactus!

This involves hiking uphill and rock scrambling! Kind of difficult but the view is just stunning!

Love it. Challenging but you feel accomplished when you reach the point.

Take lots of water and take it slow:)

Great hike! Took my two year old in the pack so thank goodness for the benches along the way

Over 3 days , dave Boclair and I hiked 33 miles from hwy 7 to hwy 9. Slept in oak mountain shelter and brown creek shelter. Shelters were fantastic. Especially in rain. I really did not have to carry or set up tent. So much elevation change. Nothing is flat. Some water especially in low areas. Saw deer turkey and squirrels. Trail was well marked and logical.

Nice view at the summit

This trail was challenging to say the least. But completely worth it once I got to the top. I went solo on this hike and once I hit the boulders is definitely challenged me, honestly wanted to turn around. But I’m glad I didn’t. It was work all of the sore muscles today!

For a hike that's less than an hour to summit, this is a great option. Fantastic views and a fun variety of terrain; the second half of the hike is filled with large rocks and is quite steep. There are two summits. The Western Summit Trail is definitely less strenuous than the East, but still challenging and steep. Very well maintained and marked. Water fountain available at the trailhead.

This is NOT a moderate trail. It most
Definitely needs to be marked as hard. But it was an awesome trail!!! Would not recommend to kids under 12!

Did it a few years ago when I was in better shape. Hope to do it again someday. It was difficult but definitely worth it.

Favorite hike in Arkansas. We take our dogs up here about once a month, and whenever we have friends or family visiting we take them as well. Short, but challenging. Well maintained. Can get crowded during peak hours, but the view at the top is always worth it.

Loved this hike. Pretty short trail.
Went up the easy side bc I had my dog. She loved it. Pretty crowded late on a Sunday afternoon but it was a rare 70 degrees in December. Definitely recommend this climb

Windy day yesterday. Lots of thorn bushes but challenging hiking!

Beautiful views and nice trail. A few sections of the trail are pretty rocky, but other than that it’s great for trail running.

Awesome hike! Be ready for some climbing if you choose the East side. We chose to go back down the west, but I’ll go up the east from now one.

Busy, well maintained trail. The metal signposts 0-10 along the trail provide a good amount of encouragement to kids- and decrease the amount of “are we there yet?” & “how much further?” type questions. My 6 year old can get to the top without help, but does need some help on the descent.

Great and challenging trail! I enjoyed the east summit as I was especially surprised by how steep the incline was and the need to climb/boulder my way up. The boulders are extremely smooth at certain points making it difficult to grip with the nike combat boots I wore. Had I known about this I would had made a different choice with my footwear.

1st hiking trip. loved climbing to top of cliff. will bring paddle boat next time.

The rocks and boulders are a bit hard to navigate at times, but the view at the top is amazing. Make sure to wear good hiking boots/shoes!

If you have any problems with heights, this is probably not the trail for you. The summit was not an issue for me but I didn't love the extended climb up a steep wall of boulders... I ended up taking both the western and eastern summit trails. East is way, WAY more strenuous, so if you're in it for the exercise, that's an easy call. I wouldn't even attempt this with a dog; take the Western trail instead.

This is FAR easier than the East Summit Trail. I thought the scenery on the way up was nice but pretty average for Arkansas-- what's really stunning and truly worth the trek is the view at the top. Be sure to see both sides of the summit! The river side is gorgeous. One other note, this is the summit trail to take with your dog. It's pretty much just a steep wall of boulders for much of the way on the Eastern side.

Great trail, rocks give alot of alternate paths. Got really lucky with the weather, I can see the rocks being dangerous with any precipitation. Alot of other hikers and some local kids hanging out drinking at the top - at noon on a Saturday.
