Short, easy hike but almost felt like I had to do it just to hit the highest elevation point in Arkansas. Was disappointed that there was no view from the top.

Would love to give this a higher rating, as it is the high point in Arkansas, but so disappointed in the amount of poison ivy found in and along the trail. More care for this beautiful trail is necessary. At times, it was so overgrown that we struggled to move through the overgrowth. We completed the hike in September.

I guess you would consider the swimming area pretty big. If you’re a flea. The place was full of weird rednecks that were running around stealing things and a Sad&Angsty™️ worker that even helped one couple. RIP my donut raft (2018-2018). Gone but never forgotten.

Beautiful day, moderate difficulty.

Walked this a couple years ago while visiting for a wedding. Makes for a very easy walk from the lodge to the peak mainly just to say you’ve done it. Saw some wild life along the way.

Beautiful scenery, great panoramic views and tons of wildflowers, the rock outcropping were cool areas to hike thru, liked seeing all the CCC structures along the way, liked that more strenuous stretches were in shorter bursts, and were only a few others on the trails.

Pretty forest and mice skort trail, wish there was a scenic lookout at the end of trail. Good to do once.

A relativity easy hike. Took about 2.5 hours to do the 5 mile loop with starting from the lodge. Goods views when looking north. Not so much on the Mossback Ridge trail.

This is a fairly easy trail. You can hike down to Buchman's pool. It's the remnants of a swimming pool which was cool to see. Only the walls remain. It does take some effort to come back up from the pool. Enjoyed it in the afternoon.

It's a beautiful trail. Very peaceful in the morning. Saw deer twice!

Interesting and fairly easy for the novice hiker.

Nice walk, not many views however.

No view at the top, but it was a nice morning hike.

Very easy and beautiful trial. Good overlooks!

I'm 53 and in ok shape. It was an easy loop and well marked. One could combine several trails however and make it longer than a 4.4 loop. North rim has views but not Mossback. We did enjoy the lodge and restaurant too.

Love the views from the Lodge, the trail was nice. Took my time and enjoyed the plants and greenery.

This trail was beautiful and relatively easy - not much elevation gain/loss. Great views, highly recommend this trail!

Super easy trail with a wooded view. Always cool to visit a high point but if you're looking for a good view, check out the balcony at the lodge! Beautiful park though, highly recommend taking the North Rim Trail and connecting to Signal hill then hopping on the Mossback Trail to connect back to the Visitor Center.

Great hike. Saw a Bald Eagle.

Easy.

This is relatively easy trail, which we accessed from the south side near the State Park lodge parking area. There is another trail head on the north end near the Cameron Bluff Camping area.

We did it yesterday! Beautiful scenery!!

Hiked to the overlook on my drive through to Eureka Springs. Nice way to stretch the legs a little on a long drive.

I mapped this 9 mile loop trail that is actually four Mount Magazine trails that form a larger loop trail around the mountain. I started at the visitors center on the North Rim Trail, then picked up on the Mossback Ridge Trail until reaching the Benefield Picnic Area. Then proceeding on the Bear Hollow Trail to the Horse Camp, then picking up Will Apple's Road Trail back to the visitors center. I really like this trail for a number of reasons. Being a state park the trails are well kept and easy to follow. There are great restrooms and refreshments at the visitors center at the beginning and end of the trail. There is also a restroom about about half way along the trail at the Benefield Picnic Area. There are beautiful views, especially along the North Rim Trail and the Bear Hollow Trail. Hunting is not allowed in the park so you feel safe hiking during dear hunting season. Also the lodge and restaurant are a great place to cool down, relax, and get a snack or meal after hiking.

Great short trail. Not much for views but good nonetheless. Easy.

Not a difficult trail, but great views of the valley. The pic that I snapped was one of my favorites!
