Nicely marked

Indian cliffs, old homestead remains, and it follows the lake all make it a good hike

Loved this hike during my trip through Arkansas. Not too easy not too hard, I usually prefer more mountainous hikes but this was perfect. Some parts are closed until April 23rd by the way.

excellent hike. not too strenuous but a good workout. and lots of sights and pic opps. highly recommend.

Pleasant trail, well-traveled and not at all arduous. There are lovely views of the lake, a spring, caves and bluffs, and the much-photographed homestead. Rather than hike the entire loop, we took a shortcut back described in Tim Ernst's book, making the trip closer to 4 miles. Sometimes the shortcut includes a waterfall, but not at this time of year.

Note that it's $5 to enter the park area, honor system on Sundays.

Awesome trail with some prehistoric Indian bluf shelters and some other historic sites. Not sure when this trail was last updated but I clocked it with my Under Armor MapMyRun app at 6.18 from trailhead back to trailhead.
