Crack in Rock is a really nice hiking trail that takes about an hour to explore. It is not difficult to navigate and there are some very interesting and scenic sights along the way, including the large crevasse that gives the trail its name. There are some small crags to look over, and the creek that runs along part of the route is very pretty in spots. I wore shorts on this trek and wound up with some rash on my ankles and legs, but no ticks or other critters, as some have mentioned are common. Overall, this is a very enjoyable trail to explore.

The trail is a well maintained and well marked trail. Nice overlook at the top of the loop, along with a cemetery at the bottom of the hill and a couple of grave stone markers at the top. The entrance gate has been closed for months, but you are allowed to park at the gate and walk to the trail head about .25 mile down the road.

Went after it rained and there were several waterfalls, so pretty! Was well kept and trails were easy to follow. Easy, short hike with great scenery!

Nice little trail with some good but easy climbing. Spray down heavily for bugs. We got seed ticks pretty bad! Nice view at the top at least!

Went to it and the gate and trail was closed. Called the number and they couldn't tell me when it would open. Disappointing.

This is a wonderful hike, the only downfall is there are a few sections where you have to wade through tall grass during the summer months. The crack in rock is truly a special landmark.

Bring tick spray!!!
