The Lake Fayetteville Trail is one of the most popular trails in the area. It loops the lake with a combination of paved and natural surface shared by walkers, runners, and bikers. There is a variety of flora and fauna in natural settings as well as beautiful views of the lake, so take your camera. The trail offers benches, playgrounds and picnic areas, restrooms, informational kiosks and lighting. Be sure to stop at the rest areas on the beautiful, award-winning, bridge spanning the lake spillway. Accessibility: The trail surface is paved and it is typically at least four feet wide. Most of the trail has a grade less than 5% but there are steeper sections with a grade between 8% and 12% (at about 0.8 miles and 4.5 miles). Manual wheelchair or stroller users may need assistance in the steep sections.Show more
