Nice hike through the woods. (I actually did the longer Little Clifty Creek trail.) Downgraded because the noise from the nearby shooting ranges was markedly audible for half the hike, as was traffic for about 3 miles of the hike; and there wasn't a nearby body of water at the end of the hike Note: There is a multi-trailhead parking about 2 miles down Townsend Ridge Rd, where one can access the Little Clifty or War Eagle trail; Townsend Ridge Rd is west on Rte 12 from the AllTrails designated trailhead.

Great trail!! A bit interesting for a 4,5,7 yr olds, but they still had a good time.

Arkansas is so lovely! We enjoyed beautiful scenery in this historical area.

It was a great trail with minimal traffic! Plenty of wildlife, saw multiple squirrels, a turtle and a snake. Was a little bummed there wasn’t water access (you could only see the water from one spot).

Hike is fairly easy as most of it is flat ground. Great scenery through the woods, well marked trail. Turnaround point has a great view of Beaver lake.

me and my husband Absolutely loved it

Surprisingly great trail. Well manicured and scenic. Looking forward to going back.

Good walk to take my dog with me.

beautiful hike!! not terribly difficult but I wouldn't take it if I was shaky.

Nice trail, well maintained, well marked with white blazes and fairly gentle grades for this area. Very enjoyable day hike. Bring water and a lunch and make a great day of it!

Quick and relatively easy

Good trail well maintained. This is a 9 mile trail per Hobbs State Park.

Enjoyable 1.5 mile looped trail.

Beautiful, easy hike and close to the road. Some views of the lake through the trees. A staple for those looking for local easy-to-get-to hikes.

Great trail. Our family has done it several times - with little kids!

Easy. Not crowded.

My German Shepherd and I did this trail, he thinks he is a German Shepherd model so he had plenty of places to pose for my camera.
It was a great hike and those stairs made me wish that I could walk up to Heaven and hug my Mom.

Decent trail completely different than Van Winkle. Not much to see and a little more difficult than Van Winkle. A lot less traveled and maintained. All in all good addition to the Van Winkle can easily do both trails for 3-4K steps.

Took our dogs there. It’s a real short trail so we went around it a few times. A few small areas of water but nothing to brag about. The trail is great for beginners that want to get away from crowded walking paths.

great cave! great trail!

Great hike! Not too short not too long! A few steep spots for small kids.
Awesome little cave along the way and a small glimpse of beaver lake with a trail down to the water.

Nice trail with plenty of scenic points for a short hike

An excellent trail. Go in to the right. About half way you will see a lake. There is a trail to it. Continue on and you will follow a nice stream. There is also a cave you can hike up to. Coming on out is a little strenuous but definitely doable.

Not well marked, but a good hike

beautiful short trail, not too busy, only saw 3 other hikers, only part that was strenuous was the incline at the end but it was well worth the effort, beautiful stream and scenic foilage

Did this trail with three small kids. The stairs were the only tricky part for them. The limestone creek as well as the various small caves on the trail were the highlights.
