Good trail for mountain biking for a beginner. The trail is well-marked. Nice view of Beaver Lake with nice benches to sit.

Great trail — good marking and beautiful views. Be sure to wear a shoe with a good rock plate as the surface is made up of many 1/2 to 1 inch rocks.

I only saw bikers but clear evidence of horse usage.

Oh, and you can make this longer — I added on a little extra leg to get to 10.5 miles — but I don’t see how you can make this a 7.5 mile trail. 8-9 as a default.

Nice hike through the woods. (I actually did the longer Little Clifty Creek trail.) Downgraded because the noise from the nearby shooting ranges was markedly audible for half the hike, as was traffic for about 3 miles of the hike; and there wasn't a nearby body of water at the end of the hike Note: There is a multi-trailhead parking about 2 miles down Townsend Ridge Rd, where one can access the Little Clifty or War Eagle trail; Townsend Ridge Rd is west on Rte 12 from the AllTrails designated trailhead.

Arkansas is so lovely! We enjoyed beautiful scenery in this historical area.

It was a great trail with minimal traffic! Plenty of wildlife, saw multiple squirrels, a turtle and a snake. Was a little bummed there wasn’t water access (you could only see the water from one spot).

Hike is fairly easy as most of it is flat ground. Great scenery through the woods, well marked trail. Turnaround point has a great view of Beaver lake.

me and my husband Absolutely loved it

Nice trail, well maintained, well marked with white blazes and fairly gentle grades for this area. Very enjoyable day hike. Bring water and a lunch and make a great day of it!

Good trail well maintained. This is a 9 mile trail per Hobbs State Park.

Proper trail parking is at the start of my map at the Townsend road access point. Very nice parking and facilities. Trail is well maintained but if you see water on the trail at the first point that you're required to ford any water, turn around and go home because there are many potential water crossings. We hiked a day after a torrential storm and the trail was surprisingly dry so it drains QUICKLY. Trail is shaded by canopy nearly the entire way. Be mindful of the occasional mountain biker or horse. Nearly no scenery, all backwoods and the first/last 45mins you'll get to listen to multiple fast firing gunshots at the nearby range.

My GPS clocked it to be 8.5 miles.

Super peaceful and quiet. Very secluded on a week day.

Well maintained and good markings. May not be as strenuous as some like, but a great setting and nice diversity of scenery. We hiked for over 3 hours and only saw 3 mountain bikers. Had the park to ourselves and the weather was glorious.

this Trail is geared more toward mountain bikers. There is not a lot of scenery mostly rocks and pine trees and oak trees.

I saw an old indian trail marker tree on the Townsend Ridge portion of the trail near the War Eagle/Little Clifty junction.

Great rolling terrain in Arkansas woods.
Easy XC MTBing but fast and fun for experienced riders. No jumps or obstacles.

From the brochure "Hidden Diversity Multi-Use Trail" of Hobbs State Park Conservation Area, Arkansas: "The [Hidden Diversity] trail name echoes one of the interpretive themes of the park. With awareness, the diversity of life here inspires wonder and discovery. Bluffs, rocky outcrops, limestone bedrock, caves, sink holes, and even a large fault line add to the area's diversity. A wide range of plant and animal species reside on our dry south slopes and rocky glades as well as in moist, protected ravines and wet-weather streams, yet hundreds or perhaps thousands of still-to-be-discovered living creatures and plants are 'hidden' both on the surface and underground."

I enjoyed this 4.44 mile hike, taking the 'Bashore Ridge' loop of the Hidden Diversity Trail. It is a relatively easy hike, mostly along the ridge tops overlooking hollows and valleys. I hiked this on a winter day, so the trees were barren, yet there is a beauty in the hushed tones of of winter, too. I loved the hike. It was a cool and quiet day, except for the wind shushing through the trees. I only saw one other person the whole time. I heard wild turkeys all around me, but they are sneaky critters, and I only saw one. I also saw a magnificent red-shouldered hawk that watched me imperiously. A great hike!
