Very easy and smooth in most parts for mountain biking, With a few rock garden challenges along the way. A nice addition if you want a longer ride with less traffic, off of Campbell Mesa Loop.

Nice Easy little hike, very scenic❣️Saw a Falcon or Hawk in flight.

Too easy and no wow factor. No one in the family was impressed with this one.

Nice easy trail. Good canyon lookout points from the very beginning of the trail! Flat, paved; again easy but enjoyable. Nice cool down after coming back up from the Island Trail.

Easy but beautiful

Nice little trail that gives way to the larger trail of Campbell Mesa Loop. Its a nice way to get out for your house if you live near by but I wouldn't go out of my way to hike/bike this one.

Easy, paved trail with great views of the canyon if you don't want to climb down the stairs of the Island Trail.

Not dog friendly. Signs all over saying NO DOGS. Waste of time.

Very easy and flat hike along the canyon rim. There were great views of the cliff dwellings looking down into the canyon. Near the end of the hike near the Visitor's Center, there were some pueblo and pithouse ruins.

Cool for the scenery and experience but not a big hike or anything. This was interesting and the view of some valleys was interesting.

The archeological emphasis of the Sinagua people was the main attraction for us. The trail is easy and mostly paved. Nearby, the stairs down and up for the Walnut Canyon "Island" trail are manageable for most folks, but deter some..

Unfortunately, when we were there in May 2016, Island Trail was closed trail improvements. Nevertheless, the Rim Trail and the film presentation at the center were interesting enough that we will come back when Island Trail is ready. So I'm not going to knock the rating as I did not check on any closing before we came.

The Island trail is much better and worth the stairs.

More of a walk that's paved with views of the canyon and cliff dwellings in the distance. It was short, relatively flat and very easy. No water needed in July for us.

This is a walk not a hike. Great views of cave dwellings along this PAVED walking path. Good informational signs. Only need one bottle of water at 100 degrees. Flip-flop friendly, educational walk.
