Nice hike. No shade. Subtle ecosystem changes as you proceed along the hike. Trail is in good condition and not that difficult.

The area is beautiful. However I am giving AllTrails a “1” on this as they missed the boat. There is currently no Bobcat Ridge Trail. If there was in the past, it has been blocked off for travel. A 4.1 mile loop does not exist. We did however follow signs to get a loop trail hike in this morning (trails are well marked). Started at Sarasota TH. Took Sarasota Trail to Explorer Trail to Little Cat Trail to Yetman Trail and back again to Sarasota Trail and back to TH. 6.17 miles. EC of 561 feet. Beautiful area. 100’s of saguaros. Overwhelming. Trails in good shape. Just follow the signs.

Very nice trail. Very quiet and peaceful. Nice views of the city.

No real trail to peak but just go up to first ridge then follow ridge from there. Go cardio and views!

The trail is easy to miss without following the map (download it offline). The last part isn’t even marked. The cave is easy to miss and requires risky maneuvering up and over cacti and rocks. A few loud ravens appear to be guarding it. There is a small cave with some petroglyphs but it’s a risky hike up. Lots of great variety of dessert life though.

Great trail but it is not marked well on the back side. We got off the trail and into a bunch of jumping cacti. Outside of that - awesome time.

like the previous folks said it is not a loop, it brings you out behind Marriot Hotel , 1 1/2 mile from where you parked , at the trail head !

I consider this a great . it's on the lighter side of moderate but not quite easy because there are some steep inclines and switch backs. Just a wonderful afternoon hike the cacti are in bloom, very enjoyable hike.

completed this trail and it was very easy going. and have some very beautiful sites

Gorgeous hike! Amazing views of the Sonoran Desert, especially in the spring when all of the Palo Verdes and cacti are in bloom. We hiked it in the evening, and saw a huge herd of deer crossing the trail! Excellent signage as well, so you won't get lost or make a wrong turn.

Love this trail and the painted cave was small but lovely (and full of bees, be careful. I am glad I downloaded the AllTrails map or I never would have found the caves. First, the Stone House Trail turnoff is easy to miss. Then, finding the way down into the wash and up the opposite hill to the cabe is difficult. Open the map, pinpoint your location, and you'll get closer.

Hiked the Gates Pass Loop portion. Great views and didn't see any other hikers. Lots of loose rocks on trail that makes footing slippery. Makes for slow trek. Take guide or map with you as trail becomes vague at times.

Great hike. Loose rocks in a couple of spots but nothing major. Easy hike for 5 & 9 yr old boys. Found a couple desert horned lizards around the Bowen house and a roadrunner on the way out. 1.5 hours.

Trail names did not align with AllTrails maps. Yetman Trail was consistent but most had different names. However, trail signage was excellent.

Great trail for a short, 1 hour hike. Took beginner hikers who enjoyed it. Lots of vistas once you are 1/4 mile in. Saw one other person hiking in as I hiked out.

Not a very difficult trail in terms of elevation. Some paths are not labeled very well. Actually ended up taking the wrong trail and did a loop encompassing 3-4 trails. It can also get quite rocky in places. There were people on mountain bikes as well, so it's a good idea to be aware of your surroundings.

Rocky but nice pace.

Great views easy trail

Pretty but basically a long walk, not a hike and definitely easy and not moderate.

We enjoyed this trail very much. I would say it’s a cross between easy and moderate because it was rocky in many areas. We saw many cactus flowers today. We decided to take a 2-mile boondoggle to see the Bowen homestead (one mile out and one mile back), and it was worth the extra time. It took about three hours total
