Reward at the end (pictographs) made this a meaningful hike. The cave is tough to get to since there is no trail up, but well worth it. just take your time. If you have any knee issues, bring your poles. The turn onto the Stone House trail has no sign, so use the app.

Great trail. Fairly easy and very scenic.

We made a wrong turn at some point. Still a nice hike!

Extremely hard to find the trail from parking but other wise a great hike.

Love this hike primarily due to the rainbow of changing colors of rock beneath your feet. For a good portion of it, your walking on the most vivid pink ground! Only downside is traffic noise, as the hike parallels the road.

This is not a true “trail” per say. It’s mostly following cairns, but there’s so many, there doesn’t appear to be just a single path. Lots of brush and cacti. Wear long pants for sure!

The desert is beautiful. I love it particularly when it's below 100 degrees.

Great easy hike that any level hiker could complete. Definitely worth it to go the extra half mile to the stone house. Turn left at the start of Yetman.

Great gradual uphill trail but it’s a bit rocky. Wonderful bird sightings. Be sure to have hiking boots or a walking stick if you have trouble with balance.

Beautiful Trail along wash in a small Valley with Incredible lush green Mesquite and Palo Verde trees and big fat happy saguaro cactus. Trail off Yetman Trail or Stone House trail to the Painted Cave is not marked and you have to look very closely for the trail. We walked up the trail to where we could see the Painted Cave itself for sure but then it's a scramble down 30 40 yards and then probably a scramble up a couple hundred yards to the cave. my wife didn't want to do the scramble and show that will have to be another time but we did make it to a positive identification of the cave itself

Nice loop trail that is uphill to the midway point. Hiked it in the evening and saw 3 deer. Quick and easy hike.

Great hike (even with kids). Very cool to see a little bit of history with such amazing views! Lots of cute flowers in bloom. Not much shade so mornings are probably the best time of day to go in the summer. We did come across some bees but none of them bothered us.

Nice, easy hike (even for kids). Lots of colorful flowers in bloom! The parking was kind of weird. We went to the end and then went left at Yetman to see the Bowen stone house- definitely worth it!
