trail running

Saguaro Vista is a perfect little (<2 mile) run. The trail is perfectly groomed and is thoroughly marked. Ran the short trail today but will be trying the longer trails soon!

A nice short trail with a couple rocky inclines on Lost Arrow. I like to run this loop or some variation with my dog. You will likely encounter a few bikers. Also, the spine has some loose rocks so be mindful of them.

This is a really nice trail, but as has been said, it's not moderate, it's quite easy. Very well marked, which is super nice. Lots of saguaro. It's rocky though, and lots of small loose rocks. It is only one of a few areas in Tucson where lots of people mountain bike, and we went on a Sunday, and there were a LOT of mountain bikers. Now, I also MTB, but I would never ride such a narrow trail on the weekend. Not one biker yielded the right of way, because there's virtually no way to do so. But it was a nice hike with friends, nice breeze, no road noise, no shade. We would have probably given it a 5 had it not been for the sheer number of bikers. Don't think I'll do this again hiking.

Perfect trail to hike with dog and boyfriend.

Really nice 7.7 mile figure-8 trail, with tons of other trails along the way, so it'd be very easy to scale the hike longer or shorter. We went very slowly, and took about 3 hours 45 minutes to complete the hike.
Lots of parking available in a lot at the trailhead.
We shared the trail with lots of mountain bikers, other hikers, and leashed dogs.
The trail is fairly flat (roughly 500 ft gain), and has TONS of beautiful vistas and plants.
We got a bit of decent birdwatching in at the end!
FYI there's a crested saguaro along the homestead trail.

Really gorgeous area and a well designed trail system that allows for a variety of routes. Some rocky areas, but well maintained overall with good signage. Great place to walk your dog, though there are no facilities at the trailhead--not so much as a trashcan--so be prepared to pack out waste. Plenty of parking, though, which is good, as this seems to be a popular spot.

Easy hike, great scenery. Might want to wear actual hikers because of small, loose rocks.

Really nice walk - took my dog - a few mountain bikers and trail runners out there

Well marked and beautiful views! Took my two dogs and they loved it. Only saw one other hiker and two mountain bikers.

This is a great set of trails suitable for hiking mountain biking and trail running. Lots of options with varying difficulty.

Good trail for running. A little rocky in some parts but overall gently sloping hills

Great hike. As some of the other reviewers stated we also ran into a mountain bike rider. However very nice and shared the space with no problems. We started the hike with other hikers on the trail however there are so many off-shoots to this trail we ended up not seeing any other hikers. The trail is well marked and easy to follow. There is not a lot of shade so the temps can get warm. Plan on hiking early and bring lot's of water.

Beautiful views! Nice easy hike. Watch out for mountain bikers if you are hiking or walking a dog. They are respectful but can come up fast if you’re not expecting it.

The trail system consists of 12 separated trails that are interconnected. We started at 7am Saturday, numerous bikers out using the trails, we had to move a number of times to let the bikers pass. That was very annoying, but after 9am, they disappeared. We hiked roughly 15 miles through about 10 of the interconnecting trails, great views of the desert floor and surrounding nature.

Good easy hike. A little over an hour with few stops

Fun with lots of small trails to combine with. Pretty rocky og lots of small stones.

Trails markers well laid out at each trail junction, hard to get loss! Beautiful scenery at numerous points on this trail. Numerous mountain biking enthusiasts on different trails, who definitely share the trails with hikers. Coming back to explore different trails!!

Great area for hiking, biking! The Suguaro Vista Loop is lovely; makes on feel almost as if walking in a park. SV trail has alternative side paths to ‘customize your hike. Well marked and very popular. I have a my favorite and plan to hike this area again.

Beautiful trail and easy to follow.

Beautiful hike amongst the saguaros. Very nice for families, dogs, and mountain bikes. I would rate it easy to moderate due to the rocky spots at times.

Great trail!! To go to Mt. Lemmon from where I live is a 90 mile round trip. This is only 5 miles from my home and always a peaceful hike!

This trail winds through gorgeous forest of saguaro and lots of civilisation. Kind of boring on foot for me, but it looks like a lot of fun for mountain bikes. Absolutely no shade.

This is a really beautiful trail! Though I would not consider it a moderate level at all. It's very easy. The hike also is in scenic view of multiple houses so if you are looking for a hike that feels like you are deep in nature and very secluded this is not that hike. But I can say it still has very open and amazing views, so many beautiful saguaros and views of mountains!! If you are look for a hike that is actually moderate ( like I said this hike is NOT moderate it is easy ) I would suggest the lost arrow trail. Though it's very short but I did go down that path and it was a bit more difficult.

This was simply gorgeous and fun to ride. Not too hard but not boring by any means. What a gorgeous place. My problem is wanting to stop and take pics of everything. Love this place!!!
