Easy to walk. Nice scenery.

Really nice walk - took my dog - a few mountain bikers and trail runners out there

Well marked and beautiful views! Took my two dogs and they loved it. Only saw one other hiker and two mountain bikers.

This is a great set of trails suitable for hiking mountain biking and trail running. Lots of options with varying difficulty.

Good trail for running. A little rocky in some parts but overall gently sloping hills

Great hike. As some of the other reviewers stated we also ran into a mountain bike rider. However very nice and shared the space with no problems. We started the hike with other hikers on the trail however there are so many off-shoots to this trail we ended up not seeing any other hikers. The trail is well marked and easy to follow. There is not a lot of shade so the temps can get warm. Plan on hiking early and bring lot's of water.

The trail system consists of 12 separated trails that are interconnected. We started at 7am Saturday, numerous bikers out using the trails, we had to move a number of times to let the bikers pass. That was very annoying, but after 9am, they disappeared. We hiked roughly 15 miles through about 10 of the interconnecting trails, great views of the desert floor and surrounding nature.

Good easy hike. A little over an hour with few stops

Fun with lots of small trails to combine with. Pretty rocky og lots of small stones.

Beautiful trail and easy to follow.

Beautiful but too manicured for my taste...

This is one of my favorite trails around Gainesville. There's always a lot of birds and alligators and often wild horses to look at. The major draw is the boardwalk which has a bunch of informational kiosks about the park (it's an engineered water filtration system for the Florida aquifer). It's open sun up to sun down and the views are unbeatable. The only issue is that there's no shade on the trails so be sure to bring sunscreen and water.

I ran all the loops and walked the boardwalk for a cooldown for this. You can hike the whole thing in a few hours but the main draw is the boardwalk which you can do in under an hour with stopping to take photos and read the kiosks.

Beautiful hike amongst the saguaros. Very nice for families, dogs, and mountain bikes. I would rate it easy to moderate due to the rocky spots at times.

Great trail!! To go to Mt. Lemmon from where I live is a 90 mile round trip. This is only 5 miles from my home and always a peaceful hike!

This trail winds through gorgeous forest of saguaro and lots of civilisation. Kind of boring on foot for me, but it looks like a lot of fun for mountain bikes. Absolutely no shade.

This is a really beautiful trail! Though I would not consider it a moderate level at all. It's very easy. The hike also is in scenic view of multiple houses so if you are looking for a hike that feels like you are deep in nature and very secluded this is not that hike. But I can say it still has very open and amazing views, so many beautiful saguaros and views of mountains!! If you are look for a hike that is actually moderate ( like I said this hike is NOT moderate it is easy ) I would suggest the lost arrow trail. Though it's very short but I did go down that path and it was a bit more difficult.

This was simply gorgeous and fun to ride. Not too hard but not boring by any means. What a gorgeous place. My problem is wanting to stop and take pics of everything. Love this place!!!

Loved this whole trail system.

Had a great time. Many different trails. Suitable for kids and dogs on leashes. My dogs and I did 4.5 miles.

Great saguaro and many varieties of cholla. Number of mountain bikers but everyone was very nice in sharing the trail. Signage was helpful and a good parking lot.

Super well marked. Lots of additional trails all connected so you can go as long or short as you want. Great find.

This is a really nice hike. If you love saguaros, then you will enjoy. The most I have seen in one place. So many different one's to see. The trail is an easy hike. enjoy

Nice and easy trail. Lots of mountain bikers which was kind of annoying at times. Saw several house, I prefer to be completely isolated so I wouldn’t come back to this trail. Good parking area and easy to find. Lots of trails in this area so it can be easy to accidentally take a wrong turn.

Very disappointed in my hiking crew today .My mom decided to go all day yesterday without eating so she was too weak to finish and we had to quit halfway through and my daughter who goes with us was having hygiene issues Which also led to my poor hiking experience

Not easy to get lost from trail to trail

This is probably the best marked trail I've ever been on. The desert flowers were just starting to bloom and it was quite pretty. Multi use trail good for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and people with dogs. There is a good trial system here at the Sweetwater Preserve. From the parking lot to the Black Rock Loop and even adding a few other off shoot trails, there isn't a lot of elevation loss or gain though. There may be on some on the other trails but... The trail signage is wonderful-well marked and easy to understand. And parking is free!

Nice easy hike through a lovely saguaro forest. The path can be pretty rocky at times, which can be a little difficult, but there are no real inclines that make it tough. Just going down the Sweetwater Preserve trailhead opens you up to a lot of other trails/loops that you can head down as you head to the Black Rock Loop so you can customize and expand your hike if you feel like it. It is used a fair amount by mountain bikers and you will occasionally need to hop to the side of the trail to let them pass but it is no big deal or inconvenience if you are paying attention to your surroundings like you already should be. Overall, nothing mindblowing but a nice hike through some interesting terrain.

Really beautiful hike with high density saguaros. Very easy and flat so it's good for kids and dogs but watch out for rogue thorns in the trails as there are quite a few fallen cacti along the path. Id recommend taking the wildflower/arrow pathway to get to the loop as it's a bit farther away from the houses and more beautiful.
