Our family of five had a great time. Eight-year-old, six-year-old, baby in the pack and a happy pooch. With Littles, they have to go slow and steady during the steep parts

Great trail that was for the most part very well marked. Loved the benches along the way as they were awesome points to take in the gorgeous views and photo ops. Beware of the bikers. They don’t give you much of a heads up that they are right on your heel. They should be reminded to call out “biker on your left” so you can step to the right and give them room. Lots of horse evidence, but it’s not a problem. Well maintained and litter free. Highly recommend.

Easy to follow, moderately trafficked. Popular with mountain bikers. Started with Littleleaf and ended with Moonlight.

I would recommend this trail to intermediate to advanced hikers. It has lots of incline on Gold Mine and good views. On San Tan trail there’s some incline but it’s mostly rolling hills. On dynamite the trails built into the ridge. There’s some incline but not much. All in all this was a great hike

I would recommend this trail to anyone looking for a fun hike. It’s very wide and open. It’s good for horseback riding. It has little to no incline. This trail has lots of saguaro cactus and sand. It also had some nice views. It was a nice hike

Enjoyed this easy hike. Was family friendly! Will go back

60° sunny day. we hiked San Tan Trail to Moonlight. It was an easy trail even though it was listed as moderate. It was a hike on a bike/horse trail. Better views at Peralta Trl or Boulder Canyon by Canyon Lake.

Parking is limited, $7 self pay, or park down the road. Great 2-2.5hr loop. Moderate incline to start with the clockwise route. Lots of people on this trail, but it is a beautiful Sunday in February, so totally expected. Great hike!!

Easily marked, not many people. Lots of horse evidence, if ya know what I mean. Nice little 2 hr jaunt.

Beautiful scenery of the Malpais Mountains but over 4 miles in sandy wash very difficult.

Very enjoyable trail with a very steep challenging climb going clockwise. Lots of rocks in areas and sandy/dirt in others.

Fun trail. San Tan is well kept area for hiking.

It was a challenge for my 4 year old but with brakes, encouragement and a little marching. He did it and you can too.

Great hike for our group... several options for hikes... This one was an easy walk, not crowded. Best done by noon because of heat. We ate our lunch at a picnic table. $7.00 to park.

Great trail for someone just starting out or just starting to get fit. Few ups and downs with turns. There is a entry fee.

Lots of flat spots, steep and loose rock towards the end of goldmine, lil scrambling, strenuous for beginners and elderly $7 parking

Great group of trails, very well maintained. There is a fee. It's a small fee, but wasn't mentioned on the app. Overall; will return.

Actually Goldmine to San Tan to Dynamite loop. For a steeper incline, do this clockwise. No shade. Lots of mountain bikers. Lot fills quickly. $7 self pay.

It was a great solo hike and a good workout.

Enjoyed this trail and the long range views. Seemed less crowded then most Phoenix trails (Friday afternoon). 1st mile or so uphill, but fairly level after that.

strenuous but worth it

Very well marked trail with beautiful views. The trail itself is mostly sand/ gravel with a few rocks. This trail is on the easy side for a moderate rating. Very good hike.

Nice hike to do with dogs. There is a bench about halfway on the trail and perfect to let the dogs rest and good views.

A Curved-Bill Thrasher sung my hound and I onto the Dynamite Trail near San Tan Mountain. The trail is well marked and easy to follow without a lot of challenges or variation in the views. A sprawling vista all the way to Usery Park and Red Mountain presented behind us before we wound back between two hills that led us to an unimpeded view of the rolling hills of San Tan Mountain. Along the way cute little Verdin and a couple Cactus Wrens chirped. Some nifty rock formations peppered the route, too. Sparkling granite, shale and at least one huge quartz deposit (about a mile and a half in) that looks at first like a crumbling structure were eye-catching, too..
