nice hike with some up and downs but not really challenging in anyways. good day hike

outstanding hike.

title is misleading , it's actually goldmine to Santan to dynamite trail. if you continue in the Santan trail you'll add an extra couple of miles to the hike. it's a pretty hike , with benches and rest stops along the way. great view at the top but a lot of it is in the valley/wash. went in a weekday and there were a decent number of people hiking or mountain biking.

Nice change of scenery with a hike in San Tan Park south of Queen Creek. Cloudy but pleasant. The resident tortoise and chuckwalla were “hibernating” until March.

Perfect with kids or a small dog! Easy walk with a few dips and turns to make things interesting. The scenery is awesome! My little family loves it.

Awesome trail! Started at the main trailhead instead. Shared the trail with a trail race today!

on San Tan Loop Trail

Did the loop clockwise, love the jumps! We will be back for more. Such a fun trail for mountain biking!

At first a good heart pump, then once at the top it is a nice scenic walk. Took us about 1 hour 45 with stops at the top.
Pay $7 parking fee. $2 per person if just using the trail. Bring cash.

Well-marked trail, with one short steep climb and the rest a nice walk.

We looped the Dynamite Trail via San Tan and Gold Mine starting from parking lot off Wagon Wheel. 4.5 miles total and offered nice views and decent Aerobic. Our favorite hike in STRP

Nice hike for out of town family and guests who are reasonably fit. We are both 66 years old, do quite a bit of walking and hiking anyway, enjoyed the loop without hurting ourselves. For older hikers, at least one trekking pole is a good idea for more stability on loose gravel. Clockwise hike gets the steep part out of the way first.

don't forget to pay the parking fee!

It wasn’t bad but I’d suggest doing it reverse for more downhill a little rocky in some spots but overall a great trail

nice trail, wasn't crowded even though it was a Saturday. Amazing views and pretty challenging incline for a amateur hiker.

Great trail, not terribly challenging. Awesome views of the valley. I was buzzed by some fighter jets from the nearby AFB, which was a highlight

Basically in my backyard. It is easy and great to beginners. Bring your out of town guest too! Views at sunset are amazing. It’s all in the open so it’s hot AF in summer.

We love going here. The trails are marked very well and you can pick and choose how far and difficult you want to do.

Nice trail, excellent views. Pretty moderate I would say, but there are other trails connecting that provide a decent workout.

Absolutely beautiful views! I love the twists and turns in the trail. It’s a pretty easy hike with barely any incline. Good for the whole family. Probably my favorite hike in this area!

Very pretty trail! Great vista views of surrounding mountains and towns. Hiked/ran this on a Friday- not much trail traffic. Very quiet. Easy trail. Hiked with my teen sons. Next time I would bring my dog.

Good hike with great views. The Goldmine hill is a little challenging and gets the heart pumping for older hikers. I like to start on this trail and finish on the dynamite trail.

Fun hike. Moderate to start going clockwise.

My go-to for a easy/moderate hike in the southeast valley. Parking lot is small and gets full early and quickly in the summer. Required day use fee (self pay with envelopes at the trailhead); check Maricopa County Parks for current fee. Two port-a-potty in the lot. Some parking areas along the main entrance road, but you will be ticketed for parking in a No Parking area. Well used multi-use single track trail with a fair mix of mountain bikers and pedestrians. Although the trails are open to equestrian I haven't seen any on this trail during my visits. I routinely take my dog and see others with theirs.

Great for a hike with kids or for a quick last minute evening hike. The trial is always in good shape.

not to bad. a lot of dogs and some dog poop in the ground. some parts the trail narrows and you have to move out of the way for the people on bikes.

Easy trail with one sort steep climb. Well marked trail with benches here and there to rest or take in the views.

Fun hike, we go clockwise and get the steep climb out of the way first. Several benches along the well marked trail to sit on and enjoy the views.

Did this hike on national hiking day, so I assume there was more traffic than normal. San Tan is a enjoyable place to visit, a nice mixture of terrain and views. Goldmine trail has some nice views and on a clear day you can see downtown Phoenix.
