Awesome hike with lots of wildlife. I would love to hike this at nighttime too with a black light. Always carry water and a multi-tool should any have a run in with cactus.

Really great afternoon hike. Tons of wildlife including lizards, rabbits and a Gila Monster =)

Want to go back with more than a trickled of water

Little water from falls but would be 5star when water is running in creek and falls.

No water in the falls in early April but the Sagauro’s everywhere were insane!! A totally alien experience for someone who’s never been to the Arizona desert!

Only did 800 feet climb up to about the 2nd knob on the ridge. Saw a tortoise.

great trail to get introduced to the desert.

Great hike, well marked and the stone house was pretty cool

Good hike. You have the option of going to the bridal falls in addition to the loop. Nice views but no public facilities

Great spot to get away. Really enjoyed some of the views and being on this simple, yet quiet hike.

Great when combined with an out-and-back on the Cactus Forest Trail. Outstanding for trail running. Would be extremely exposed during the summer months.

Starting from the picnic area, there are many excellent cacti and Palo Verde specimens along this easy trail. Tennis shoes ok. Bring water and be prepared for lots of sunshine. Map available at the Visitors Center.

trailhead is not accessible due to X9 private property gate. not sure why it's even listed.

Good trail to the waterfall. Considering that this is Arizona, it was nice to see water although it wasn’t anything to write home about. Overall, I had a fantastic hike!

Easy trail to hike as it is flat and the trail has good footing most of the way (very beginning is paved). There were a few parts on the trail where it was hard to see where you should be going. Nice hike to get the legs going or to recover from a harder hike the day before. No shade although at the picnic area about .5 or so in there is a nice place to sit and eat a snack or have lunch that provides a restroom and some shade.

Great hike. I'd say it is fairly easy-moderate with the moderate part arriving in the last 800m-100m of the hike. We did an out and back up to the view point due to time. This trail option is just shy of 8 miles roundtrip. The trail is a gradual uphill for most of the way, which I didn't notice much until coming back down. The steepest part is the last 800m-1000m of the trail which is also more rocky than the majority of the trail. For the most part the trail is wide and not too rocky. There are a few parts on the switchbacks that get tighter with more unstable footing, but overall the trail has easy footing. About 1.5 miles or so from the top there is a part of the trail that has some large stone/rock steps on it. Kind of nice as you go up. The views were beautiful. There is very little shade on this trail. We did it in the late afternoon, early evening and up near the top there was some shade once we dipped down behind the hill. Overall, a beautiful trail! Would do again.

Great hike in perfect weather and when the falls are falling (which they were on 03/04/2018). Also makes for a great trail running loop if you include the Three Tank Trail and Garwood Trail. Note that this area is very exposed for those hot summer days.

The weather is perfect right now and there is water at the water fall

My favorite so far in Tucson. There are actually quite a few options of other trails after you get on the trail about 1/8th of a mile, and it’s all clearly marked so no confusion if you are on the trail or not. And the Saguaro cactus are abundant, and beautiful! Lots of mountain bikers come through so just be aware of trail etiquette (step to the side when you hear them coming), and you will be great (and they all appreciate it when you do this). Only downside is no facilities anywhere (no gas station bathrooms nearby either), so be prepared for that...

Beautiful hike!

Lots of fun, Far enough away from the city but yet close enough.
The old stone houses a sight to see.
Trailhead and trails are clearly marked which is helpful...

This is the second time I’ve hiked this trail, both times in February. Plenty of water at the falls!

Amazing hike w/the beautiful waterfall.

Great hike for all those who are capable of handling a gradual incline. The views are fabulous and the air crisp in the early morning! It was beautiful after the rain.

Fun hike! Bring lots of water!! The water was running at the falls and it was beautiful!

Nice hike. Just a drip at the falls during this dry season. Took Carrillo trail coming back making it 7.25.

Great winter hike. Steady elevation gain. Pano views of major peaks. Enjoy the dome rock scenic overlook at mile 2.6.
