Best hike in Saguro

Love this trail. Not very difficult and an ideal trek for the solitary hiker. A variety of flora along the way and water in the Rincon River when we were there. It would be a good hike when the cacti are in bloom.

Great hike, well marked and the stone house was pretty cool

Good hike. You have the option of going to the bridal falls in addition to the loop. Nice views but no public facilities

Hugh Norris to WassonPeak:
We started at 9am and finished at 4pm. It was 10-mi RT. Very steep in spots and hard on the knees, but worth every ache and pain! Take plenty of water, food, and trekking poles!

Great hike. I'd say it is fairly easy-moderate with the moderate part arriving in the last 800m-100m of the hike. We did an out and back up to the view point due to time. This trail option is just shy of 8 miles roundtrip. The trail is a gradual uphill for most of the way, which I didn't notice much until coming back down. The steepest part is the last 800m-1000m of the trail which is also more rocky than the majority of the trail. For the most part the trail is wide and not too rocky. There are a few parts on the switchbacks that get tighter with more unstable footing, but overall the trail has easy footing. About 1.5 miles or so from the top there is a part of the trail that has some large stone/rock steps on it. Kind of nice as you go up. The views were beautiful. There is very little shade on this trail. We did it in the late afternoon, early evening and up near the top there was some shade once we dipped down behind the hill. Overall, a beautiful trail! Would do again.

Lots of fun, Far enough away from the city but yet close enough.
The old stone houses a sight to see.
Trailhead and trails are clearly marked which is helpful...

Serene morning hike. Easy trails.

This is a nice, relatively easy hike. The path is wide, which is great for hiking with other people. The loose rocks make it a little more challenging.

I do this hike often as I live nearby. The first 2/3 are great, and I love that I never run into anyone after the Ruiz trail turnoff. 4 stars because 1.5 miles are through the wash.

Yetman trail is pretty darn boring. Thank goodness we deviated off of the trail and headed up a peak just off the trail. Otherwise I would have really been disappointed

Love this loop!
Views everywhere. And the loop helps get the correct miles and training.

Great direction to the top of Rincon Mountains, but I appreciate the connections with other Trails such as Three Tank Trails, Carillo Trail, and Wildhorse Trails

Started around 7:20am. it was cold and quite windy. We didn't go all the way to the peak this time but we did hike 7.4 miles and 5 hours of workout. the sun rise was so beautiful with all the colors, I just had to snap some photos.

Very nice trail it's an easy hike. The Historical house is interesting to see.

Beautiful hike! Went with 6 and 8 year old granddaughters on Xmas day. Easy to begin the hike got more difficult once you reached the hills. Kids had no problem because it was such a gradual incline with easy steps. Will do again anytime!!

Sendero Esperanza Trail is the easiest approach to Mt Wasson Trail it is relatively flat for the first mile and then pitches up gradually with about 6 switchbacks for about 2/3 of a mile to reach the ridge and join Hugh Norris trail. The trail provides a short out and back hike with great views and can be done year round ,but pay attention to heat as there is little or no shade take lots of water and wear a good wide hat to protect your head and face from sun... Remember you are in Arizona .....

Great trail to start hiking loved it!

Enjoyable, long and mostly flat hike. We got mixed up on the trail a few times, so expect some snags if you’re new to it. We saw several mule deer on our return as the sun was beginning to set-rabbits too. Fun hike and would definitely do it again. Seems pretty ideal for running also.

It's a nice hike! As others have mentioned, it is easy to get off trail in places due to multiple intersecting trails and mountain biking paths.

Great views, beautiful hike.

Did this trail last December after some good rains and took the spur out to Bridal Wreath Falls. Stunning views of a variety of different landscapes and very peaceful once you get up into the mountains. I had the Three Tank-Carrillo-Garwood Dam portion of the hike completely to myself that day and saw a herd of deer down in the valley as I came down around the ridge.

Gorgeous hike. Extremely well-built trail. Views throughout. Probably the easiest summit hike around Tucson.

Awesome trail. Very scenic.

Lovely gentle scenery. If you're not good with route finding you may have trouble with this one.. there are so many small paths to choose from.

nice easy hike

This was a great trail to do with my kids. There are a few steeper sections, but they managed and had a great time hiking it. We only went in about 3 miles and then turned around, but it was still a great day on the trails.
