A nice loop drive through a very small portion of the park. If you are able, get out of the car and explore a trail!

The drive wasn’t all that special, but hiking up the mountain was awesome, and the view from the top was breathtaking! Dog-friendly (on leash), kid-friendly. Even wit a stark elevation, our 3-year old was able to do it. Highly recommend!

Very short but you will see a lot of good looking saguaros.

Nice little trail to do at sunset with kids with a little education along the way.

Scenery is beautiful. We went because we could take our dogs. Dog owners should know that aside from the paved ten mile loop, there are only two “trails” you can take your dogs on (the dirt road in/out to Micah point, which is a pretty dull and straight walk; and the pretty but very short Ecology Trail). For the most part, you and pup will be sharing the road with cars and cyclists. We thought this would be unpleasant for our pups, but cyclists were considerate, and
cars traveled slowly. So even with all these qualifiers - we had a great time and purchased a season pass!

a very nice easy hike lots of ups and downs my mother loved it because it was a paved Road which it made her feel more secure. lots of beautiful desert scenery surrounded by saguaro cactus well worth your time to check it out.

Arrived closer to sunset and found a rattlesnake! The hike may not have been worth it, but the rattlesnake made our day. Also saw some lizards, a rabbit, and an antelope squirrel!

We hiked the 3 mile Loma Verde Trail. Nice and easy trail to start off the day. A diamondback snake crossed our path while we were hiking.

went to the visitors center, staff was very helpful. The trails are located inside of Saguaro Natural park. The 9 mile loop is a driveable scenic route, and was $10 per car pass good for 7 days!. I drove down to Mica view picnic area. There is a nice paved trail that leads to other unpaved trails along inside of that area. went before sunset. It was beautiful and quiet out there. On the trail I had the privileged if seeing a Jackrabbit! a pretty big one too! had a relaxing time.

This is a great little hike with some beautiful desert views.

Small little loop showing off the various plant life commonly seen throughout the park. As far as hikes go there is nothing to do here due to the side but if you are interested in local flora I would recommend the trail which has a lot of really great informational plaques throughout the loop.

This is like your favorite amusement park ride for a road bike. I love it! Be careful of the first downhill turn (the ranger always tells you and there's a sign but in case you go early be aware). There's a gnarly climb on the back side. You'll use every gear on this amazing ride thru saguaros!

This is a handicap accessible paved path. Numerous informational signs regarding desert vegetation and shaded stops are scattered along the pathways.

A very easy paved, nearly level trail off of Kinney Road just north of the visitors center. Lots of informative panels to give you a sense of life in the desert.

Spent a day here just exploring gulches and following javelina tracks around the desert :D . The possibilities in this park are endless.

Excellent trail for small kids and older visitors. There is informative signage throughout the whole short hike. Some of the picnic areas (like Mica) had a bit more impressive scenery, though.

My family and I did this drive en route between Phoenix and Las Cruces, and it was well worth the detour! The scenery is beautiful and unique, and the entire excursion can be done in around 90 minutes (including stops at overlooks and the visitor center).

I have hiked all the medium / medium hard trails in the park. Stop at the rangers station off of Old Spanish Trail and pick up a map -- the one on the NP website is out of date. Pick any of the three main trial heads (Speedway, Broadway, or Old Spanish trail) and head out. I have not walked the paved trail that this post refers to, but all the others. There are a wide range of difficulty available. Consult with the ranger for specifics.

This loop drive is in the East Unit of the Saguaro NP. You start at the visitor's center, and drive clockwise on a graded loop road. It is quite a scenic drive, and has several hiking trails.

Awesomely easy but so much fun for kids. Mine completed the junior ranger packet while on this trail. Now they are inspired to go again and try longer trails!

This is a very easy trail, it's paved and is actually only .25 miles. Perfect trail for young children and the elderly.

I had never seen such a concentration of cacti and other sesert plants - far more than in NJ! This was a pleasant, scenic drive, with a couple of nice, easy side hikes. Watch out for the cactus needles close to the trail, and bring water!
