Awesome trail run! Nearly went through 3L of my CamelBak... maybe because of Saturday night? Great views up top. Whoever scrawled in the register: "Trump help Russia", really not sure what you meant. 4/5 Sour Patch Kids for trail running. Super fun running in the wash at the beginning and end!

awesome hike with great views of the desert. The bugs were alittle crazy at the summit but overall an unforgettable loop would definitely do it again and bring others to experience it.

Went in mid December. We didn’t have a lot of time to complete the hike so we felt a little pressure to rush. Although it was warm at the bottom, i needed more layers at the top...very windy. Overall, pretty nice views!

My daughter and I set out to hike the wash and loop back to the Kings Canyon Trailhead via Gould Mine. However, our outing was cut short due to a swarm of bees in and around the east rock wall at the petroglyphs. Please be careful at this site! (We informed the visitor center.)

18 deer and a horned lizard today. seems longer if starting from Camino del Cerro trailhead.

I don’t know if I would do it again as the view you could see it most of the way up. The hardest part was the small rocks on the way back down were really slippery.

No dogs... no sense

Impromptu day trip to Saguaro National Park panned out pretty well! Breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains and Arizona wilderness. 3/59 National Parks visited.

This trail is a workout! We set out with every intention of completing the loop, but we were just too spent to do so. (Maybe next time.) The the is not well-marked, but previous hikers have done a great job utilizing rocks to mark the path. The views are incredible! Watch for the crested cactus and the two abandoned mines along this trail (see my pics). No facilities are close, so be sure to plan accordingly. Oh, and bring your trekking poles!

Gets better and better, best part is last mile

We enjoyed this hike especially because the sun was behind clouds he second half of the trip and we ended up hiking another 3/4 mile past where the petroglyphs were. The rest of the King Canyon trail is quite beautiful. It looks like it ends but if you climb over the rocks you'll see the trail continues on up to the old gold mine. There's more climbing over rocks when you get up there and you can continue on and hook up to the gold mine trail for a total of a 6 mile hike if you want to! It was warm even the first week of March. A cool breeze and some cloud cover made it especially nice on our hike!

That was a great hike. Found the toughest thing was all the loose stones going up the trail, but otherwise it was a pretty straight forward hike. Great views in so many areas. Took the wash on the way back from the picnic area and got to see some of the Pictograph?? Only saw a couple of Road runners. Not sure where people said they had to pay. Came across W Gates Pass and Kinney road. Trail started across from the museum. Highly recommended hike.

Took about 1 hour and 45 mins to reach the top! Very awesome views! A great challenge, be sure to eat a good meal before this hike for energy! Saw 5 mule deer on the way up

Just completed this hike with my 67 year old husband and it was a great trip up to Wasson Peak. We started this morning from the King Canyon trailhead parking and it climbed up, up, up for 1535 ft until reaching the summit. Great, interesting, challenging, and fun trail to hike. We took 5 hours RT but took our time. It is rocky but the trail is in great condition and wide enough so you don’t feel like you’re on a goat trail. This is a must do if you like elevation. We did not spot any wildlife.

Quite scenic, especially western end of northern part of loop. The last eastern mile of the southern part of the loop is a sandy wash. The last mile of road to the trailhead is unpaved but in good condition.

Good trail well marked and great views.

What a great trail! I’ve been on roughly five so far in the Tucson area and this was my favorite. For the first mile, the gravel is very loose, but there is not much incline so it is not a huge problem. But the view at the top is awesome, you get a complete 360 degree view of the entire Tucson area. Highly recommend this hike!

Very cool. I would put this a bit higher than moderate. Rough trail..

The vie at the top is beautiful, but the hiking is a little boring, especially for a person who has seen so much saguaros.

Fun, modest hike two days ago. Would be an excellent place for trailrunning, but not having access to a shower I opted to hike the trail instead. Modest elevation gain until the last mile when a series of switchbacks climb to a ridge where for the final .3 miles to the top. Nice views of the park, desert, and city below. Bring lots of water. While it can be warm to hot at the trailhead, the summit can be windy and chilly.

Good hike, took my friend and I about an hour and half to summit and reach the top. Well marked trail, some of the water-bars need maintenance but otherwise a good trail!

DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED! Very DISAPPOINTED TO DRIVE ALL THE WAY TO TRAILHEAD AND NOT BE ABLE TO HIKE.
ALLTRAILS APP DOES NOT HAVE CURRENT INFO!

Parked at King Canyon trailhead. Made the hike to Summit. Some loose rocks so just take it easy. Overall beautiful hike. Well worth it! This hike will increase your heart rate especially if you are not fit. I would rate it a moderate hike but a difficult one if you are not in good shape.

The east end of the loop has not been used in years! But if you actually follow closely to trail and the map it is a great adventure and worth exploring!
