Wasn't aware that the park is set in a neighborhood of high end houses. On the trail to Eagles Nest, we were following a homeowners fence line, 20 feet from the house. Also, there are so many signs that it is more confusing than helpful. Entrance fee is steep - $14.

HikingBridge outFeeGreat!

Great trails and well marked and beautiful views of Oak Creek. This was definitely kid friendly and relatively easy trails to hike. We went on 10/17/20 and the park closed two of the creek crossings to the eagles nest trail from the visitors center and therefore had to take the bunkhouse trail to head to the kingfisher bridge crossing and take Eastgate to the House of Apache fire to Coyote Ridge to Eagles Nest and then head back on the Kisva trail to the Kingfisher bridge crossing. The trails are clean and well maintained and on the plus side no dogs allowed (I love dogs but don’t love the owners who don’t pick up after their pets). The park fee is $7 per adult and $4 per child but it’s well worth it. The visitors center also has restroom facilities with running water and a nice rooftop that someone had booked for a wedding while we were there. Although we did have to hike extra to get onto the Eagles Nest Trail, it gave us the opportunity to hop on most of the park’s southern trails including the beautiful shady trail Kisva which runs along Oak Creek. Also a quick FYI - no swimming or touching the creek allowed while on the park property.

Only one bridge across the creek is open. Alltrails should have noted this. Big disappointment given the price of the app.

This trail was wonderful! It was a good distance, not too tough but with WONDERFUL views! Red rock state park opens at 8a and it’s $7 per person to get in

Relatively easy hike for a New England guy, with switchbacks to take the bite out of the hills. Unsurpassed views.

HikingNo shade

Very easy trail. No shade. Views are mediocre at best. It costs $7/ person to get in and I couldn’t find one reason for it. There are many trails in Sedona that have spectacular views, are well maintained, and are free or cost is per car not per person. I was sooooo disappointed!!!

Easy trail, because of incline and rocks there are some moderate spots on the trail. Incline is gradual up the mountain, with a couple of switchbacks. Trail has sand and rocky patches but nothing that makes hike hard. I suggest walking the path clockwise as the views coming out are gorgeous.

This was a nice easy trail to do with the kids. And plenty of signs to keep you on the right trail. Although, there was an entrance fee to get into the park, it is very well maintained so you can see the money is used for the upkeep. There was even a small museum to go through where the kids can read about the different wildlife and then when they go on the hike maybe they will hopefully keep their eyes open to see some of those animals. One of the bridges was out so it was there and back, not a loop. I actually didn’t start recording until I was almost at the point we turned around. First time and didn’t know what I was doing.

I loved this trail! Amazing views from the highest point. I would say it’s a pretty easy trail with maybe some moderate points towards the top with some rocky points to the trail. Stunning views all around and lots of wild life at Red Rocks State Park.

One of my favorites. Trail starts off flat. Lots of birds. We saw a couple herds of deer. Climbing up to Eagle’s Nest was a little steep. The trail is easy to follow. Nice payoff at the end with a beautiful view. Only saw about four people on the hike. Worth the drive from Phoenix and the $7 entrance fee.

Amazing views… To be expected. Trails were a bit rocky and places… To be expected. Eagle nest trail was great exercise with plenty of space to stop and sit/reflect or just take a breather. I definitely would hike this trail again and love this area

HikingMuddyRocky

The trail itself is pretty easy. It gets steep in some areas and is quite rocky though. The views are not mind blowing, but still pretty. There are houses and fencing that really ruins the whole thing, unfortunately. I wouldn’t do this one again, simply because every photo opportunity includes homes, buildings or cars in the distance. It really takes away from the natural beauty. The trail is also heavily trafficked.

The All Trails route bridge is out as well as the bridge to the North. I hopped over the stream. The only open bridge is to the Southeast. Once across Oak Creek you can connect with this hike. The trail is nice great views except there's a big house(s) in every one of them. Takes away from the beauty
