Beautiful fall hike!

Amazing hike! So much beauty, and so quiet! We only saw one other person on the trail. Some rocky areas along the way, but nothing too challenging with good shoes. A really spiritual experience!

Loved this trail especially for this time of year! The temperature is perfect right now and it’s basically all shaded in forest. So many lady bugs at the rope so be on the lookout for that

Beautiful views, love this little hike.

Short, but very beautiful!

Brought my 3 year old on this trail. It was easy. We stopped and had lunch by the lake then ended at the playground for him to keep playing there. Took a good nap when we got home!

If you don’t like rocks and bhiking, then 106 to 105 is not your jam. Unbelievable views of the valley overlooking Jerome. Spectacular in fact.

beautiful trail, but the lake is not near the trail It leads to a camping area. fabulous pines mixed with Oaks, so some color. total miles @7. passed only one other hiker

Trail is easy for families. One small part is very close to the road. Thus, 4 stars.

really great hike this time of year! perfect weather, cute little acorns, some pretty wild flowers and amazing view points on the way to the top. We thought we were just doing the Groom trail but turned out to be midway through this spruce trail when we checked on our location. what was intended to be a quick 3.5 mile hike turned into 7.5. No complaints though, this was a beautiful hike!

Nice hike. Easy over all. Shaded parts intermittently, even midday. No waterfall but it’s a desert and not monsoon season so expected nothing. Took very able bodied parents in their upper 60s with no issues. Finished in 2 hours.

As with another reviewer, I clocked 5.7 miles in a little under two hours. Easy side of moderate for most of it. Was a little steeper, solid moderate the first leg of the return. The first 0.5 miles are heavily trafficked with lots of picnic tables, benches and water access for families and small boats. After that only saw a few mountain bikers. Very peaceful little creek at the turnaround.

Gorgeous view on every turn while looping. Definitely not an "easy" one, more like Moderate++. We went down trail 106 which drops 1160 ft over about 2.5 miles and looped back via 105A -> 105. The 105 trail is a steep climb over about 1.5 miles, no breaks in climb until you hit the RIM. Counter clockwise was much better choice for us since there was shade for the most part of the trail, there was none AM going down 106.

Only complaint was what other hikers mentioned about the last 3/4 of a mile or so of the trail, hard to follow and not well marked. Other than that great, pretty moderate hike

Perfect trail to get a good work out in! Starts out easy and gets tougher toward the end. We brought our three little chihuahuas and they loved it!

Decent hike with J. Hilly!

Just did this hike today. Took four hours plus with stops and a few double-backs. I went to the right/counter-clockwise. The climb going right makes the hike harder and the trail isn’t always marked well in some places (suggest using the app so you can stay on trail/get back to the trail.) Best to go clockwise; it will make for a more enjoyable hike. Overall a nice hike.

So beautiful! Lots of lady bugs at the top and has a gorgeous forest atmosphere

~ Very steep if you go to the left side first. Great views, but a lot of people & you must pay a Fee for Day Use. ~

Only saw one other person the whole hike. Trees were changing colors and it was absolutely beautiful!

This was a beautiful hike with some very special spots along the way. The trail is hard to follow at times and I backtracked several times. Be sure to climb the quartz mountain peak.

Beautiful hike. Went all the way around the lake in less than an hour. Super easy, would recommend going to the left to start, the last 1-2 is paved and much easier with no rocks.

Loved the trail, I went clockwise and I'm glad I did, the climb for the first 1.5 miles would have been tough. Gorgeous views, perfect weather!
