Beautiful sight!

I loved the trail itself. Lovely views and a nice hike that I'll do again. HOWEVER. The hike was made unenjoyable when the entire time the unpleasant thump of bass from music pumped out of the boat rental shack followed me. Even when far back in the various coves the banging followed.

Very pretty lake with mallard ducks and a few benches along one side of lake. We logged just under 3 miles around the lake, though. It’s not 2.4 mi.

Great relaxing time to take a date. One of my favorite lakes in Prescott.

This is a nice easy trail except for the Creek, which you have to cross to do both sides of the lake, and the spillway, at the other end, which is quite wet when the lake is full

Great for beginner hikers.

Easy relaxing hike. Great place to do good morning to folks

Half the trail is paved, the other half is not. You can loop around the whole lake, beautiful view, lots of shade.

Great scenic loop around the lake!

This trail is closed from December 1st through March or July, (for Bald Eagle nesting) I forgot what the barricade said. It may be a great trail but it would be nice if they noted it was seasonal so people don’t plan on a trip out there and not be able to hike it.

Always a nice place to walk. The west side is a little easier so it is perfect for me to get my strength back after surgery. The leaves are starting to change color now. Beautiful colors and a beautiful little lake ❤️

I love this trail as a 5-mile trail run, I’ll just circle around twice. Great for my dog as he just jumps into the lake afterwards to cool off. When the lake is high, the loop is a little splashy near the dam, but it’s doable. It’s $5, but free on Wednesdays.

Great afternoon hike!

Great wooded trail bordering a quaint small lake very close to town. Lots of Sunday walkers, kayakers, and fishermen. There is a $5 day use fee so take some cash.

Easy hike with beautiful views.

The only downside is the trail is very narrow. When I went I had to navigate around fishers along the side.

This is a heavily used biking trail, but it's also a fun hiking trail. We stopped at about 2 miles at the second lake since it was fenced off and returned to the first lake to walk all the way around. This totaled about 5.5 miles with a lot of ups and downs aka a good glute/hamstring workout. You can also drive up to the lake, so be aware that it's not very secluded or private. That being said, there are lots of great benches for sitting and enjoying the view. The trail itself was well marked and maintained. We saw a variety of vegetation and the leaves were just starting to change colors in some places. I can imagine it'd be beautiful in about a month when the colors of the leaves reflect off the lake.

Lot of opportunities to see wildlife and fish. Beautiful lake and great views once you get up a bit. Theres a really cool mini quarry

a mix of trail, rock scrambling & paved walkway, lakeside & shaded

This is a very easy and beautiful lake to travel to. It has a very easy trail for families that strollers could maneuver on. Part of the trail is paved and the other side of the loop is dirt terrain with small hills but very easy. From the store area it may be hard to identify the trail that isn't paved but it does go through the the water passage area where the big wall is just keep going. Look for eagles nests along the trail!

Always a great time walking around Lynx lake. The only downside was the biting bugs at dusk. Ugh

Had a great, easy walk. Beautiful weather and beautiful scenery as usual. One of my favorite places.

Nice easy hike with lots of shade and places to pull over. Doggie friendly.

I like this hike as it's shady the whole time and offers constant access to the lake. When I was there, there were nesting bald eagles in a tree, so the forest service blocked off that section. Great for kids, dogs, families, anybody. Periodic benches for relaxing, and well marked gravel path with variable grades.
