Good ol’ hike.

Great for trail running!
First half is a bit loose and rocky so watch your step if you’re running through. Great little climb up the granite ridge in the middle with a perfect spot to take a break, have a snack, enjoy the view. Back half is gorgeous to run through and connects to another trail if you want to take it further.
First bit and top of the ridge can be busy on weekends.
Parking is limited so get there early.

Favorite hike in Phoenix so far. But I think I’d call it easy

Nice short hike with a good climb and awesome views.

Its steep.... but the views at the top are outstanding.

Really nice trail , great for hiking and biking!

Beautiful trail and just enough of a challenge

This is a perfect hike to spike the heart. The views are great...

This is one of my favorite quick hikes in the city. It’s really beautiful and the views are great at sunset l.

so glad I decided to hike this trail

A beautiful Xmas day hike! Trail well marked and maintained. Lots of hikers and bikers sharing together. Really enjoy these trails.

Freedom trail rocks!

What a great hike! The last bit did get a bit sketchy but the view was worth it.

Good hike. cool views. good trail

Great and varied views. One of the best I've done in Phoenix.

Use this route for biking only. Boring, too easy for hiking

Holy cow, we did this trail end to end and doubled back some. Total mileage was over 18 miles. Only part we didn't retrace our steps on was between Dreamy Draw area and 7th St. Not much for elevation, a few spots here and there, but great for mileage. Lots of mountain bikers and some horses. The guy in the visitor center was very helpful explaining the trail. We bought a great trail map of N Phx mountain area.

Easy! But its so easy, the length seemed 10x worse. Will definelty be back to this mountain for the other trails!

This was the first trail my daughter (13) and I hiked after moving here. We went just before sunset and into sunset and the view was gorgeous. This trail made us fall in love with hiking.

The hike was just OK. Trail was poorly marked and we had to refer to our GPS often to figure out where to go. It wasn’t very scenic and I didn’t feel like I had a workout. Some areas had a bit of an incline but the majority was fairly flat. I wouldn’t do this again. There are so many prettier trails to tackle.

Great trail, nice views. A little over crowded for me.

Trail head currently closed for construction

Did this a few days ago. Infernal rocks tried to trip me a few times but it was still a great hike. Perfect around dawn or dusk mid or late autumn otherwise you’ll face horrid temperature.

Fun trail. Lots of pretty things to see if you’re looking.

Sooooo this trail was pretty dope. I went around 2pm and there were only 2 cars parked near the bottom. Very peaceful. The trail was about moderate. Very clear trail but always follow the app cuz some trails look similar. Didn’t see too many bugs which I loved lol I don’t fuck with the critters. I would recommend this trail for all ages who are capable. Couples: not too many lowkey spots to get ur freak on but I’ll keep an eye out. Overall I enjoyed the hike and the views. It was lit!!! #Hikeislife

good trail. not the best in the area.
