It's a great workout but hard to find parking as so many people come here. Pretty much climbing up rocky steps most of the way.

HikingGreat!

A nice steep hike, short but strenuous. I would say Camelback is tougher as there are no boulder climbs here, but it’s still challenging. Great views from the peak and some nice viewpoints on your way up.

I only did about half of it, the trail head was a little hard to find and going South to North was hard from your resident not so old - old lady because the back half of the first mountain was more steep and hurt my knees going down. Hence why I didn’t finish. But oh well, another day :)

Great trail-we started at the southeast part of the trail. It started very flat and then a step incline with loose rocks made some difficulty. The next section was a paved to go to the top, but still step. Fantastic hike to see an absolutely beautiful sunset. Loved it!

Early Tuesday morning hike. No parking spots at Piestewa. Took the back trail by Belmont and 22nd street. Very warm and no breeze.

Arrived at 5:30 AM. Already way too crowded. I had to park on a residential street and only got to meet with half of my group. The rest started without us. It was way too heavily trafficked. This is a work out trail for the vast many and they do it every day. By the time we hiked out there were not as many people on the trail and it was 100° when we finished at 8:30am. One of my fave spot to hike. Kinda crowded but the hikers are very friendly. Road is rocky, some steep hike which can be challenging at some. It is a must to finish the trail & go in top. The view is all worth it!

Went out for a little hike in the 116 degree heat yesterday. Day off, and rather than sit around at home, thought I would hit the trail and see if I could brave the flaming heat. So I did! Been on this trail many times, and thought I might tackle something a little harder, but once I got there I wimped out and just did the loop. 2 miles anyway. I had plenty of water with me, but still felt dreadful under the blazing sun. Don't think I was the only one out, as there were other cars sitting by the summit. I was the only one on my trail. Finishing up, I parked myself on a comfy shaded bench down below and chilled out for a bit. It didn't kill me!

Not super noteworthy but it is a cute little loop with some elevation. Would likely combo this into a hike up the south of North Mountain for a longer loop. For this round I added it to a longer, flat-ish hike I was doing in the area.

I saw many ppl without water. Gave some water to a “newbie” they called themselves. Always bring water especially in hot summer

One of the better hikes to do in town before or after work to get a good workout in.

Love this hike. Discovered in the early 80s while attending ASU. Still come back from Chicago to enjoy this great cardio climb and beautiful sunrise at the top!

Nice views of scrabbly, interesting mountains. Nothing special, but good moderate hike for the morning. A ton of people were in the area for the summit hike, and fewer for the loop freedom trail. Parking is limited so you have to arrive when the gate opens at 5:30am to get a spot, or park in the neighborhood streets a short walk away

This proved to be way more enjoyable than I was expecting. A good amount of up and down combined with optional summit spurs made for a fun, quick trip around the west end of Lookout. Watch the app if you want to stick closely to the route... there are lots of other non-marked trails in this area.

Went clockwise and had a few steep-ish inclines, but the second half was a nice decline. Started at 6:15am and had shade for the first half. Cool views, great trail area! Very busy on a weekend morning, had to park in a neighborhood.
