Great hike, arrive early, bring water and sunscreen. Entire trail is exposed. For a good workout and sweat scramble up Bell Rock! This turns an easy hike into something a little more challenging.

It was an amazing off road experience. My girlfriend and I really had a blast on this trail. It has amazing scenery points. There were parts that were somewhat challenging, but nothing a Rubicon can’t handle. I definitely recommend it

Was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great trail great off-roading great scenery words can’t do it justice I will be going back again!!!!!!!

Fun drive

Great trail, did it 3xs while out in Sedona for extended weekend. We were in our 97 TJ with 4” lift and 35s. Some nice brief challenges, but scenery was awesome. Each trip was different part of the day (morning, afternoon, evening) as the shadow lines and scenery looks different - as well as the trail lines along the rocks look different as well. Got some great photos. Most of the Pink Jeep Tour guides were cool, we usually gave the right of way to stay in good spirits, they were always good to let us know how many behind them as well. Will do again when we go back.

Best trail I've driven with my wrangler, beautiful views, challenging obstacles, courteous people. I recommend!

Beautiful scenery! An easy hike.

The review by T Kay is right on. This is a hard trail. The first part will fool you into thinking it is easy. Then things change. Use your All Trails app to help you stay on track. However, be proficient at finding your way back in case something goes wrong with your phone or the app. The payoff of this trail is gorgeous views and getting away from people and the noise they make. You will cover some miles round trip so take plenty of water. Piece of trivia is that there is excellent cell reception in the canyon so you can call for help or a pizza if you need it. Remember to tip the pizza delivery person generously. Remote, away from other people, beautiful scenery, quiet. What more could a person need?!

easy hike, great vistas. nice warm up. New trail so not all turns are marked. several trails intersect throughout the area so pay attention to your map. need pass to park, $5 for a day pass.

I did the route in my 2017 4Runner TRD Off Road, stock except for rock sliders and off road tires. Plus, I’m relatively new to off road. Thus was the most technical trail I’ve been on. The truck worked great. The difficult section is the return trip down the “Steps” side of the loop. Some steep slabs to ascend. The “Steps” descent had some steep drops but the entries were even with little articulaton. The departure angles on the T4R are not the greatest so I tore up the stock front skid plate and flattened the tail pipe tip. But, no body damage. The route is a blast and very scenic. Hit bottom a few times as I had no extra lift. If I did it again I’d have skid plates and some added lift.

Great challenging hike.

The best trail I’ve done in Arizona. Beautiful scenery with challenging obstacles. I did it in my stock 18’ 4Runner with no issues (slight undercarriage scrapes but nothing serious). If you park you will need a pass.

Fun trail to take right in town however, the Jeep tours run through it and can be a little jerky. But in all the trail is easy, except there are a couple of hairy places but with a Jeep it's no issue. The Steps section was easy in the Jeep too!

Definitively a Sedona must do. Great views and fun wheeling. We used a Polaris General 4 1000 and did bottom out on a few occasions (including the steps). We have discussed the need to lift our UTV some due to its long frame. The only downside to this trail is the Jeep Tour traffic. Most of the Jeep tour guides are extremely friendly, just not all. Single lane throughout can make for some interesting encounters with tourists not versed in trail etiquette but everyone works it out. All in all a fun and moderately challenging ride.

Hiked this mid-January to the munds mtn trailhead, honestly not worth it. It was rugged, poorly marked, overgrown, and very challenging. Most of the trail is either soft sand or loose rocks, not easy with so much gain/loss. Also, it wasn’t very scenic, except the last half mile or so, but if you hike Schneblys Hill you get to the same munds trailhead and the jacks view anyway. I hiked schneblys back down, way better.
Pluses were perfect weather and not a single person until way down the other side of Schnebly. Very quiet and peaceful.

The first half of this trail is pretty well marked and worn to the first large ledge. After that, it gets a little tricky and very very easy to lose the trail. The farther in you get, the more overgrown it is. Very important to use a map - not just because you could lose the trail, but because there are ledges that the trail goes from above to below the ledge and you can't really climb them to get back up or down. Would rate this trail as difficult because of the overgrowth, but otherwise moderate with some strenuous parts. The trail ends in what seems like a box canyon. Very secluded. Quiet, lots of birds and places to have a nice picnic lunch.
This trail is found at the end of Little Horse Trail in Sedona, Arizona.
This trail is only 1.7 miles (3.4 round trip). I think AllTrails added all my recordings- or added it to the Little Horse Trail. Two were outbound and one was on the way back. Still tough with no clearly marked trail.

As a road biking route I found it unpleasant. The bike lane skirting close a busy State Route beyond the Village of Oak Creek.

As a scenic driving route it's decently scenic but AZ89A Oak Creek Canyon the more scenic drive for sure.

Wanted a quiet hike and this fit the bill. Unfortunately, it isn't the most exciting trail in late November. Cattle made the trail dusty; other areas are loose rocks. It is exposed until you reach the wilderness area and then the trail follows a dry creek bed in the canyon surrounded by scrub oak, mesquite and manzanita. No view here and pretty boring. I turned around at around mile 4. I recommend Hot Loop over Horse Mesa to Woods Canyon Trail instead.

fun trail did this with my Tacoma 2 inch lift and lockers hit all the bypasses including the steps great views fun short Trail

you share the one lane road with lots of pink jeep tours. beautiful views at submarine rock and chicken point. you need at least a 6" lift and a good suspension do go down the more difficult section called "the steps".

Very fun trail and great scenery!

Great trail, last section appears closed. Used dead reckoning to meet up with Cathedral Trail Loop.

When you get to the 2nd half of loop and see Arizona wilderness signs, you definitely are in the wilderness! My husband and I enjoyed the beautiful views. We did come across a rattlesnake on the trail, and ran! Be cautious and aware of where you are stepping.
