This was my first time in Sedona and this hike was perfect. There were a lot of scenic areas. This hike was pretty straightforward, some areas were unclear about where the next trail marker was. This is the perfect picture spot and perfect for beginner to intermediate hikers.

Definitely the BEST hike in Sedona! This trail was no more than 4 miles unlike what the app says. We had trouble staying on other but this app definitely helped!!!

Park anywhere in the church parking lots (there’s two), then the trail starts behind the brown fence.

Chicken point was the only time we came into contact with ATVs and trucks. If anything, we saw more mountain bikers than vehicles so that wasn’t an issue at all.

The view was amazing and bringing my friend for her first time, this made her day! Best hike to really show off all of Sedona and it’s not hard!

I’d rate this easy to moderate only because sometimes there were boulders we had to navigate around but not strenuous at all.

We ended up down the road when we finished the loop and had to walk up back to the parking lot.

Definitely have great views throughout the entire hike, Especially at the end. Very easy and relaxing hike.

Good scenery but mostly flat and not challenging

First, the views! It does not matter if you look far, near, up or down, it is breathtaking.
We logged it at 4.5 miles and classify it as easy-moderate.
One con- parking at the trailhead as suggested by the app was a nightmare due to the (too many) visitors to the chapel. I suggest parking next to the other end of Mystic trail.

Great little out and back walk/hike. Great trail for dogs. Very scenic and gorgeous backdrop for pictures.

The trail’s rating should be moderate rather than easy. Plus, the mileage from the parking lot to Chicken Point and back was 4.5 miles, not 3.1. Great hike and beautiful views. Gary

Visiting again and looked for next hike in Sedona. Little Horse was best hike yet. So scenic and every turn was breathtaking. A “must-hike” for anyone visiting (and locals love it). Would recommend stiffer sole shoes.

Lovely hike. More moderate than easy.

Continues past chicken point but then loses in forest. Very poorly marked. Got directions from s pink jeep driver thanks a bunch!

Head out early for best views. Bring your GPS!

Easy, spectacular views the whole way, beautiful flowers, wasn't too crowded with a 9am start. Busier by 10am. Shared the summit with a jeep tour, but luckily they left pretty quickly and I enjoyed the views from the top to myself.

very pretty, picturesque trail. worth going all the around the mountain.

We followed trail exactly as mapped and logged 4.3 miles. Maybe if we turned to go up Peccary trail it would’ve been a mile longer. But map didn’t tell us to do so. Chapel Trail to Broken Arrow easy. After that, Trail is moderate - loose and/or semi-steep rock to climb down in parts.
However- Gorgeous views.

Nice views, but end is a letdown.

Good trail, but be warned... Pig’s Tail loop is steep.

Great views and it's not too bad. There is one particularly challenging (some I was hiking with found it scary) spot you'll encounter, but it's really the only part that is _that_ challenging. That part probably gave it the 'hard' rating.

Lost the trail on slim shady. There is a spur that I got turned around - but wasn't that hard to reorient myself.

Love this hike as well. Chicken point is amazing

This is NOT an easy trail for mountain biking. There are a few sections that are very difficult to ride (especially when going up to Chicken Point) but it’s not that hard to walk your bike through these sections, and it’s worth it!

When you get up to Chicken Point, hang out awhile and enjoy the amazing views. You might be lucky enough to se someone riding “The White Line”. You can continue riding around back to “the Hogs” or go back down and make your first left and rip down Llama. It’s a fun trail that you can ride fast.

Beautiful vista at the end but this trail is much more of a moderate than an easy. There are stretches where you go up rocks on the path that could be hazardous if your footing is not good. A lot of bikes on the narrow parts of the trail make for tough going in some parts. Bring water! Budget more time than you think. Also be sure to wear a hat, as there is little shade.

Essentially a nature walk through a residential area.

Great trail! Lots of mountain bikers but we didn’t have problem and there was 4 humans and 2 dogs.

Nice trail with many scenic views of the red rock formations all along the trail.
I would consider this moderate hike, as it is a gradual but steady incline on the way to Chicken Point, which by the way offers a great payoff at the end.
We did this hike today, it was sunny and warm, so bring at LEAST 2 bottles of water with you. When the Jeep tours left, it was just us two for a little while at the top. Very memorable to just sit here and take it all in.

Wide path, rocky in spots, steady uphill. Closer to moderate especially last 1/4 mile. Great view payoffs at Chicken Point. Fairly steady traffic.

Didn’t see any little horses

This is a terrific, shorter trail with so much scenery! If you start early enough, there is lots of shade.
We only ran into 1 other person on the trail (biker). I definitely recommend.

Very quiet, only saw one other person when we were out around 3-5PM on a Thursday afternoon. Pretty easy, some mild hills and loose rocks. You know how all kids love balancing on curbs? My 3 yo daughter LOVED jumping on all of the big rocks lining the side - it kept her busy and wore her out, she slept great! Not much shade or places to rest without full sun, so bring a hat and sun protection.

Nice easy hike with options to connect to trails leading to Bell Rock or Chapel of the Holy Cross. Perfect distance. Partially shaded, but be sure to bring plenty of water.Great views!

Not Easy! This is moderate plus given how other trails rate in the area. Take plenty of water.
Beautiful Hike!!

Nice hike. Linked up with Bell Rock, Bail and Llama trails to extend this a little bit. Great views!
