Awesome trail for every skill level with great scenery. Beautiful panoramic view of the Mc Dowell Mountain range.

A nice beginner trail, no aggressive grades, just like taking a walk in the park. Low traffic in late January. Nice trail, easy to duck off if you want.

We found ourselves here after a recommendation in Boots and Burgers: An Arizona Handbook for Hungry Hikers. It did not disappoint for a group of diverse hiking experiences. For a gorgeous January weekend we were almost alone on the trail with just a few hawks and planes in the blue sky above. Relatively flat we meandered as we saw fit and the path was well marked. I recommended going south (left) on the loop first and turning around occasionally to snap a pic of the magnificent views. Stop by the fountain when you're done. And eat Portillo's afterwards (added bonus). Get the Chicago Dog.

Not the best hike

Not that great

Super easy, cute little hike that takes you to a surprise body of water at the end.

I’m bummed that I didn’t make it all the way. I thought this was a moderate not an easy hike.

Good way to learn about the flora and fauna in the park with the guide.

Trail was perfect for us. We were looking for something relatively easy and it fit our needs.

What a beautiful trail. Not too busy. Im not very happy with the 2 older lady horseback riders who literally demanded I stop for them sooner than I did. Total Divas. Queens are for England, not America! But, it was a Great workout. Just when you're about fatigued, you get some great downhill speed and maneuvering. Highly recommend.

Very nice rolling loop trail. Good scenery and vegetation. Trail well marked and easy for all levels. Benches along the way, as well as markers that tell about the vegetation.

Our first attempt at mountain biking and it was great! Clockwise gave us a well deserved downslope! Dont try this on a hybrid bike. My scraped leg is proof of that.

This is a fantastic trail for any level. I've been on this trail several times and prefer the clockwise direction. There are a couple of steeper climbs that a beginner will probably have to walk up, but the long descent makes it all worth the effort. Fun!

Went here for a night hike with park staff for the Hunter Moon/sunset/moon rise/full moon walk. The views were gorgeous! Was very flat and so easy to walk that you could do it solely by moonlight. Some people in the group showed up late and these were the same people who didn't get the brief talk from the ranger about being quiet and proper flashlight etiquette. Was pretty annoying having bright lights randomly flashed in your eyes and people incessantly talking loudly about billd and car problems and neighbors... Would have been much more enjoyable with a small group. But that's what you get sometimes when you do a group hike! Was still a beautiful hike.

A super simple hike close to town... Cool views of the city... Still close enough you could probably do it on a long lunch break... nothing to write home about but gets you outside...

We mountain biked this trail counter clock wise and it was incredible! I am a beginner. One of my friends is intermediate and he loved it too. The whole second half was a long smooth downhill cruise. If you are looking for a more adrenaline downhill then I recommend going clockwise. The whole loop took us about 3 hours breaking frequently the first half of the trail.

Nice trail for a distance hike or trail running. We were hiking it cause we are trying to do all of the new Maricopa trail. Very pretty views all the way around. A lot of mt bikes.

We took Bell Pass Trail to the Bell Pass Saddle, which got quite steep towards the top and carried our bikes up the last 0.8 miles. Nice quick descent over the other side, lots of single track and not a soul in sight. Followed the signs to Pemberton Trail. A++ ride.
