fairly easy trail with nice views. should be noted that there is a $7 park entry fee if you dont have an annual pass. they do accept card though.

Beautiful trail... lost my full recording...went to end of Yavapai Canyon Trail, crossed over and went about half mile on the Wild Burro Trail, then turned around.. did a portion of the Yavapai Point Trail...about 6 miles in all. Loved the trail, pretty much easy. Did come across some wild burros...heard them braying...hee haw.

plenty of nice vistas along easy to follow trail. beautiful overlook of lake and mountains at summit which is also turnaround point. I consider this an easy hike.

Parked at Beardsley Trailhead, walked 4 miles, turned around and came back. The beginning is very green and pretty. At the road, take a right and walk on the shoulder a bit, then you’ll see a sign to continue on. Nice rolling hills, beautiful views of the hills in the distance. Was odd to hear the shooting range and also to see the road while walking, but we did not find either too distracting. Early January on a Sunday, only saw a couple hikers, 1 biker and a small horseback riding group.

Dog friendly- great views. Path narrows a bit so if you have a reactive dog just be cautious. Very well marked and not hard at all. Last third to the top is fairly rocky but manageable.

I am a beginner and this was well tagged and easy to climb. be careful if after a rough rain because of mud. it has beautiful views. I found the most amazing spots for photo opportunities.

It’s a nice hike! Don’t get me wrong. Very clean and well marked and just difficult enough to get the heart rate up a little. But it is a little anticlimactic as the best views are towards the middle and probably not worth the entry fee into the park unless connecting with other trails. If you go the whole length of the trail it’s actually closer to 4 miles. Didn’t see any burros but saw plenty of signs of them such as droppings and prints. I recommend either starting far south and connecting with Pipeline, or if you just want to do the Burro Trail, start at the north where Pipeline is (trailhead is over the by the water shed thing) and then turning back when you come to the restrooms and parking lot by the lake. Third time doing this trail and it was snowy at the top. Some areas a little washed out cause of rain but still a good time.

Nice hike with beautiful views of the lake

A few really easy spots, but some loose stones which could be precarious for older ones or those who are not as sure footed. Burros everywhere! Also saw a tiny tarantula. The water is beautiful and a really enjoyable short hike.

Easy, nice trail with burrow sitings and lake view. Good bike path that connects to a really nice moderate trail, Pipeline Canyon.

Nice trail, but a bit rocky for my 62 year old liking. Watched my feet alot rather then the scenery. Saw burros on the way out and back in. A nice little burro family with a couple of kids.

We hiked it right after the rain on December 27th. It was a bit soggy and muddy, but we liked it nonetheless. Hiking it in full sun would have been impossible. It provides no shade.

Only got 24 miles out of 31 up - turned around really high rutted roads - stock F-150 -4x4 STX With running boards 04’ with 391,000 Miles - needed a little more height or testicular fortitude
