I like this trail but it is anything far from lightly trafficked. Since it’s so easy to access and free parking, it’s highly trafficked. Mountain bikes, runners, walkers, hikers, joggers everything. Still a great trail. Watch for snakes in the summer!

Great trail. Eastern parts of the loop are flooded currently (May 2019; signs posted at trailheads say so), so to do the full loop you need to walk along the 89. I did the loop, but I recommend waiting to do the full loop after a few months when it’s no longer flooded. The other parts of the loop, however, offer enjoyable hiking. Bugs hang out along each side of the trail in a few parts.

Gorgeous, gorgeous hike! As others have said, there is a lot of water, but fortunately we were able to cross small streams without a lot of issues. We did have to take a detour at the end to get back to our parking space, so we walked along the road to get to the Britini lot. No direct route. But hiking and climbing up on the rocks was doable and afforded awesome views of the lake, which is extremely full. Will definitely do this again! With the detour, we hiked 8 miles.

This was an incredible hike! The lake is very full, so it's just beautiful. We did the entire loop, however, you can't get through at the Britini parking area-we didn't realize that and had to take a detour to get to the road. Oops! This hike is just under six miles, but with our detour, we ended up going 8. The trail is well marked-they use white dots and we didn't have any issue with following it. Looking forward to doing this one again!

There are so many unexpected little stone staircases and hidden views. It’s a secluded little gem.

Great Trail, can combine with the Constellation loop trail.

great trail with a variety of terrain! be aware of the white dots :)

Love this trail, I’ve done it twice in the month since I arrived. Such a variety of landscapes to be enjoyed. But easy enough that a novice (me) can make it around. Just bring plenty of water!

Nice trail, a little bit of everything along the way. My Fitbit tracked closer to 7.2 miles and we really didn’t go off trail.

Sweet trail. Good scrambles and lots of hoping around lol. Ran some, climbed some and walked most. A good wholesome trail!

I love this trail. Great birding and it’s easy to follow with enough friendly foot traffic and cell service so I don’t mind doing it alone.

Did the whole loop once before, decided to do the fun half this time which includes the Steps and Red Bridge. Saw a couple dead snakes, even tho it didn't affect the hike, the water height was much higher than it was in March. Some over grown vegetation bc of the rains could block some parts of the trail, just follow the white dots and you'll be fine.

Wonderful hike. Lots to look at and plenty to keep you engaged! I will be sure to do it again!

My dog loved this loop trail, it was one of her first longer hikes. The birds were beautiful. I’m glad I got to go before it gets too hot

Very pretty, fun hike. I am an inexperienced hiker and had very little problems navigating the various branches of this hike. We parked at a small lot right at the end of the East Bay Loop and went left. The first half of the hike from this direction is pretty lack luster and more of a relaxing walk. Once you get to past Heritage Park is when it becomes more challenging and very beautiful. Scrambled up a few rocks for some amazing views. We finished off the trail with the East Bay (?) loop through the marsh. The water was very low so there was no mud on this part of the trail. But it looks like the water could get very high there, so if during wet season I'd recommend parking at Heritage Park and hiking up to the bench at Red Bridge, then looping back around. The trail also tracked at about 8 miles on my phone, but we went off trail a few times to climb and take pictures. I very much enjoyed my time, and it was a pretty easy exprience.
