my dog and I loved it! would not take my 3 and 4 year old on it. ups and downs, switchbacks and rocky at times. I'll bring my 6 year old if he is feeling adventurous. gorgeous hike.

good tail, not hard at all. would definitely do it again but maybe add some of the other tails.

my 4 year old cried the whole way so it was just a quick 1 mile turnaround trip but nice trail for kids and dogs.

Did this as a night time trail. It was easy and mostly flat terrain. I saw some rabbits, and a spider! A lot of fun!

Pretty good trail. Not too steep but enough rise to provide great views.

Was rated as moderate but it is extremely easy. Flat. No challenging parts whatsoever. There’s nothing wrong with that, but wasn’t appropriately rated so I feel like I wasted some time hiking a flat trail.

Simple easy loop. Our 14 year old didn't even complain! Perfect family hike.

Fun easy desert trail, very sandy and rocky. Lizards, birds, dragonflies, bees.

i am not so sure about the easy rating. Perhaps that was for hikers or more experienced mtn bikers. we are pretty new to Mtn Biking and found some of the washes quite challenging. still a fun trail. We will do again.

The trail is not very technically difficult. There is no shade so if it's hot be prepared. it is a quiet hike there are not many other hikers

It’s a very long trail. As expected. I’ve never hiked estrella mountain trails. Most places I hike have always had Ramada’s or some type of shade on the way along with water fountains, especially on the longer trails. This trail did not. Make sure you go early in the morning or late evening and bring lots of water.

Went to Estrella Mountain Park today. Never been there! Was out in Goodyear, so swung by the park to check out the trails. I was hoping for some elevation but all I found was those lower trails Rainbow Valley, Toothaker, Baseline, and Horseshoe. Oh well, managed to do 5 miles anyway, just hiking up and down through the desert on my self-made loop. Well worth going back for more

pleasant hike...

Breaking in new boots so I took a short cut across dyson trail. Easy walking. Easy to find. Well marked.
