This gets rougher as you go. When you are in the wash, it easy to lose the road and I needed 4wd to over a few large rocks in washouts. Glad I had a two door JK in one spot to climb out of the wash and back to the "road". Jeep or other OHVs only, not any SUV or regular truck will fit or have the needed clearance. I won't call this easy.

lots of fun, the kids enjoyed it a lot. the water was clear and was refreshing.

one of the best places I've been to! great community of people that go always ready to help you when you get stuck enough space for the kids to get wet without being in the way of the vehicles passing, if you want to get a good spot with shade on weekend you will have to go friday and camp because if you don't somebody will especially holidays, 4x4 is absolutely necessary and a lifted vehicle would be best

Took our jeep down and played in the little stream. Splashed around and drove back out. Worth the short trip

great place to enjoy riding a polaris ranger xp

easy to moderate horseback riding. great views....pictures don't do it justice.

I love this trail and enjoy the rock formations in Dinosaur Canyon and the sweeping views all the way past Wickenburg to Vulture Peak

Fun drive with the family, got to play in the water. Nice quick outing only used 4x4 to play in the sand.

Fun little run. Very easy. 4x4 not required to play. You have to go out of the way to go over anything bigger than 6-12" a few fun little spots for jeeps

fun drive especially after rain

Great views and easy trail. Make sure you have high clearance by FWD not needed during normal conditions. It's a bit of a trek so allow for 3 hours with sight seeing.

Love the water forging over sand. The box canyon is beautiful! Be cautious, depending on the season the water can get deep. Recommend traveling with another vehicle during high water seasons. I've pulled out multiple 2wd pick-ups. There is a fun little sand camping spot up the canyon with a small slit canyon to take pics.

To get here, start in Wickenburg and proceed north on US-93. Take a right onto Scenic Loop Road, about a mile north of the stoplight at Vulture Mine Road, and follow the road about 7.4 miles--there is a pullout and parking area on the right. There is no signage; you can either walk down into the canyon from here or drive down with a 4wd. The "loop" is actually much more confusing than it's worth; most people go up the canyon or down the canyon, and retrace and exit where you came in. The box canyon that gives the area its name is on the right, just a couple hundred yards downriver. This is one of the few places you will actually see surface water on the Hassayampa, and it is a nice area as long as it's not too crowded.
