I am deathly afraid of heights. About halfway up I sat down and was visibly shaking. Once you get past deep V shaped crevice (at about the halfway point) it was smooth hiking to the top. I was very worried about the descent, but honest to God, it was a cake walk!!! The climb was WAY worth it. Unbelievable views!!! My husband and I agree that it is a little more advanced than it is rated. We did see little kids doing this hike.

Loved this trail. Took us about 2.5 hours. Quiet, serene, and relatively flat. Highly recommend for all ages!

I revise my rating up to 5 stars because the trail since winter dried out and is much better. Did two loops today in record time.

Always a good hike, gets your heart rate up and I love to scramble up the rocks. The app says moderate but I really think they need to change it to hard. Even though I have been hiking for years on this mountain it still gives me some trouble at times. One wrong step or a slip you are down the mountain in a jiffy. I always go past the “end of trail” sign to the left and climb another Little Rock formation and then over to the other side. That is a 660 ft elevation gain and from the parking lot up and back it is 1.6 miles and takes about an hour. I stop and take pictures along the way to catch my breathe. My favorite hike because it is quick but hard and the views are stunning.

Great hike with beautiful views. Hike was not 6 miles. It was just under 5 miles. I would rate this hike as moderate vs. easy. We are experienced Sedona hikers and this hike is at least as challenging as Doe mountain which is rated moderate.

Beautiful, hot, fun hike~! Be ready to get dirty, scramble and bring LOTS of h20 for yourself and your pup~!! PS. Don't forget your sunscreen's~! (Yes, they make sunscreen for our four-legged hikers too. ;)

The hike was nice. I would rate 3.5 stars. We began at 845am and there was one other car in the lot. The weather was overcast and mid-80s. The clouds were critical as everyone in this thread is right - very little shade and if the sun is out, it'll be beating down on you. The first half of the hike is not that great, pretty simple flat trail. The second half gets much better with some elevation change and beautiful views. The swimming hole around the 3.5-mile mark was also excellent and refreshing. We had the place to ourselves. On our trek back out we passed many people and the lot was nearly full. Get there early on a weekday (if possible) to beat the crowds.

Easy going, very crowded... pictures and time was worth it.

Didn't have a huge truck or ATV and arrived around 10:30 am on a Saturday so had to park on the side of the main road and walk all of the way to the trailhead, but it also offers some great scenic views and can be a good workout. The hike to the top was definitely worth it. There was a bit of climbing using all limbs, but that is a very small portion of the trail near the top. Great photo op and bring lots of water!

The trail is well-marked and gorgeous, but do NOT try to scale and summit Bell Rock. The trail leading to the south side is washed out, and leaves maybe 1-2 ft from the edge of the cliff circling back around to the north on the right side of the rock. Stay on the north side.

Let me start by saying app says this trail is moderate, it’s a bit above that. There are parts where your on all fours going up and on your butt coming down. Saw quite a few people not finishing because it was a bit too difficult for them. That being said it was a fun trail, with excellent views. Not a long trail, but the quick elevation is a workout. Bring extra water, and get to the top. It’s worth the blisters.

amazing place really easy hike

Great vantage point for the sunrise! I hiked up here at about 4:30 am to catch the 5:15 sunrise. You can see the sun crest over in the east and its rays shining on Sedona to the west. Pretty easy hike with a few areas of smooth rock. Manageable and worth it for the sunrise. I got to the top and was the only one!

Most of the hike is easy. However there is almost no shade on the trail and it’s HOT!! Bring lots of water! Especially if there are no clouds in the sky like it was when we went.

Once you start getting towards the end it gets a little more challenging, but there are pretty good steps. The bridge is an incredible sight to see!

Depending on the time you go it can be pretty crowded, or not too bad.

Really boring hike with minimal challenge. Had wait 25-30 people to get on the bridge...so it’s a bit slow and crowded

We thought we were getting there early but when we pulled up at 7 am on a Sunday we were lucky to get the last parking spot. I think many of the cars were for people going to Sedona summit rather than the airport trail. The trail is easy to follow and not difficult. There is very little shade so I would definitely recommend going early or late in the day during the warmer months.

Gorgeous home through the trees with a nice contrasting view of green trees and brown hills

Super easy trail. And the panoramic view is great. Drove by during sunset on the way to airport loop and there was no place to park, however 20 mins after sunset and you practically have the place to yourself

Amazing walk, although tough in some spots.

This was a nice, definitely moderate trail. If you're in great shape, hike often, are well-equipped to handle the heat during the summer months, and have no little ones, then yes, I suppose it can be described as an easy trail. West Fork is easy as is Slide Rock or Parsons. I say this to offer a warning to those that read other reviews describing this trail as easy. It gets hot and there are some decent ascents that will challenge you, if at the very least, give you a decent workout. If you have young children be prepared to stop often for water breaks. If you are backpacking or carrying toddlers, you'll feel it. But, the water is so nice once you get to it. There are even some nice rocks to sun bathe on. We cooled off, ate some lunch, and hiked back to the trailhead (kiddos and all) as temps were hovering around 100°. They handled it like little troopers but still stopped several times for water. So, having said all that, my family and I will definitely do this again but will most assuredly start earlier in the day to beat the heat.

Easy hike for beginners.

Beautiful scenery.

This is a moderate trail. The bridge itself scared me, not really because of the danger of such natural architecture, but because of the superhuman nature of the other visitors. Respect this bridge!

The first 1.5 miles are easy to moderate, the last .5 is a series of well constructed steps etc..

Tip, Bring eyewear. The blowing red dust can be an irritant. Beautiful. But annoying.

We brought a novice hiker with us and completed it in about 2.5 hours. It was a great hike.

We hike a lot - we made a rookie mistake on hydration. Today, in June, you needed at least two liters, or 4 bottles, per person. Don’t make this mistake - please!

loved the views! I did this with friends during the heat of the day. we had to stop a couple times on our way up to take water breaks. I would do this one again and probably do it before the afternoon in the summer time.

Amazing views from the top, one of my favorite challenging climbs in Sedona.

Amazing views of Sedona the entire length of the trail. It’s a little tricky navigating where to park, and how to get to the actual trailhead. Luckily we ran into a ranger that helped us figure it out. Have to walk about a mile down a dirt road before reaching the actual trailhead. Trail overall is pretty simple. I little bit of steepness closer to the top. But once you reach the actual bridge it is AMAZING!

Great Hike with awsome surroundings! The hike is easy most of the time. The last bit going up, however, is moderate (and can be hard during the heat of the day).
We started the hike at noon, which I wouldn't recommend, as temperatures climbed up to about 104°F.
The views from the bridge - and the bridge itself - are wonderful.
