Awsome, easy hike. Gorgeous views at chicken point (end of broken arrow). Recommend doing it. Do it early as it gets busy and there isn't too many parking spots

Steep trip up but the vistas at the top are great.

The southwest point of Mescal Mountain is a fantastic place to watch a sunset over the valley.

This trail was way better than I expected it to be. Planned for just a quick and easy down and back. But this hike got 10x better when we climbed up the rocks at the end of the trail. At the top we followed a small path that went deeper into the canyon to where you are high enough to see above the growth and down the canyon for some Awesome views!! Was very quiet and peaceful and ended up being one of our favorite hikes in our time here in Sedona. Highly recommend.

FYI: I was planning on hiking this trail over memorial weekend but just received an email that they are closing this area on Wed May 23, 2018 due to wild fires. Anyone who have bought a permit will be refunded. Will plan to go again when they reopen.

Easy hike, with a great payoff at the end. Take the time to explore around inside the caldera, and see it from different vantage points. Trail is pretty exposed midday, but there are pines at the end - good place to have a snack and cool off.

Great hike. Awesome ending. Steady moderately easy hike.

Only saw a few people as I came down on a Saturday in May. Awesome views going up and at the top.

Easy walk down the path but the scramble up near the end is worth the effort. Light in the morning (around 9) was great. Very peaceful and beautiful at the top. If I made it up and down, most can!

pretty rough 3/4 mile at the start then it mellows out. Nice and not busy with wide path to run side by side!

Visiting the chapel is a nice experience. Totally overrun by people but everyone is in a great mood. You could do the little out and back on the Chapel Trail which is a very easy and safe trail. Why not?! Take a little water and go on a stroll with your friends. The Chapel Trail is a nice side trip if you are hiking up Little Horse on your way to Chicken Point. Might as well check out the Chapel on your way!

Very scenic road going either direction. I would not recommend driving anything but a higher clearance vehicle on this road. 4x4 is not exactly necessary. It gets bumpier all the time and the Jeep tour operators want it that way. It's their bread and butter to have it this way to thrill the tourists. I did take a little Honda Grom outfitted with knobby tires up and down this road and the Pink Jeep Tour guides were going nuts taking pictures and calling me their hero. It's rough as heck in some places but definitely doable. Leave the Prius home if you are wanting to go up/down Schnebly. Sure you could make it, I guess, but your little car will not be the same as when you started. Do yourself a favor and get some exercise by hiking up Mund's Wagon Trail to see Schnebly in all its glory.

A great hike with kids. Parking lot was easy to find, we were able to use National Parks pass for parking (otherwise you may need to pay for parking on honor system). The trail markers were very clear and each major turn in the trail had a map so we can see about how far to the next "check-in". I recommend this one for sure!

It was a great trail that gave you a fantastic view of the rocks up close. You would go up very narrow and steep stairs, but the top was the best view!

Beautiful monument! Didn’t spend to much time, there were lots of visitors. Gift shop is weak, nothing worth buying. Other than that great place to stop.

Volunteers were very informative & genuinely loved the history of this spot. We road down in a rental (Ford Fusion) & it was ok, little bumpy but no big deal. We relaxed outside the center & watched the humming birds. Very relaxing!

Parking is very limited but we got there early enough to score a spot! Very challenging for my Midwestern blood but the views are breathtaking! The summit is heavenly.

I would rate it moderate for some steep step-ups. Once you reach the top the views of the Sedona valley are fantastic.

the hard part is the drive in, make sure you have no loose fillings in your mouth, it takes almost an hour to get in.
Although we went on a week day, the waterfall was very busy, so once we took some pictures we retreated back to the one of the many accessible natural pools we saw on the way. I just wish people were more considerate and stop littering such natural beauties with crap they no longe needed. SMOKING SHOULD ALSO BE BANNED!!!

Nice trail slight incline/decline near the trailhead. Very relaxing and quiet very little man made noises. Near the end there are some caves to explore. Also watch for snakes came across a few on my last hike

Short hike with an easy-moderate climb involving switchbacks. Views at top are phenomenal. It was extremely windy when we were up there, otherwise we would have enjoyed more time taking in the views. Ran into a group of elderly people having a very difficult time getting down, so be aware of your abilities before you hike.

It was a scenic little hike. It was fairly easy for the kids (they didn’t swim it was pretty crowded) the only negative was the wait to get in to the park to park.

Decent hike, great swimming hole! Not bad if you hike regularly but we saw a few people that had issues with the heat, water, and didn’t get all the way back to the water. Swim shoes would be a good suggestion but not required. I did not use any. Don’t forget to reapply sun screen before you leave!!! Lol

Quick and easy with a beautiful view. Easy to find trailhead right off the road, decent stretch of switchbacks to get to the top, and beautiful views of Sedona. Would highly recommend as a quick and fairly easy addition to a day of hiking!

One time chance to hike an underground trail that is totally different. Fun trail but you NEED good lighting because it's pitch dark inside the cave. You can only see where you point your light. Cell phones lights are not recommended because they won't last long enough. You need your battery to last on the way in as well as your way back. Lose your battery power and you won't be able to see your hand in front of your face and you'll need someone to rescue you.

We did this hike today and love the view on the top.

Did this hike on May 10, 2018. 4 adults physically fit. Once you get to the hangover, I would highly recommend doing the loop in a clockwise direction. Also know that this should not be labeled as Moderate. It should be listed as Hard. It’s very long 8.7 miles, and today was hot (93 degrees), not a lot of shade, steep climbing (even scrambling in a few areas), and in several areas you are “hanging over” narrow ledges. If you have a fear of heights this hike is probably not for you. Bring lots of water!! The top today was very windy with gusts around 40+mph.

We did Bear Mountain 3 days ago, so I feel the rating of hard should be placed on this hike as well. I personally thought Bear was just as challenging as the Hangover (just not as steep).

Overall, this hike is excellent and offers the best views on any hike in Sedona, of Sedona! Total hike time from Munds Trail parking doing Hangover and Cow pies was 3 1/2 hours. We moved pretty fast. I’d do it again.

Great hike but very hot! Some shade depending on time of day, but worth every minute once you jump into that water. Wow so much fun.
