I couldn't find it, and I'm an avid hiker who can definitely stay on a trail.

My favorite hike in Sedona!! Well marked trail. Breathtaking views when you arrive at the top. Can be challenging for some in a few spots.

GREAT HIKE!! Highly recommend this hike. The 360° views were great. Family friendly and well marked. Suggest hiking to the summit.

Great easy hike with very little elevation change. The best part is the Rock scramble at the end, where there are beautiful views as you climb. Very easy for children and a lot of shade as you make your way to the scramble.

Only thing we would do differently is go in via Chuckwagon trail instead of the road. Much of the road is dusty and traveled by jeeps and 4 wheelers. The bridge is definitely worth hiking to even though the last quarter of a mile is fairly steep and requires a little scrambling.

It was beautiful, a pretty easy walk/hike. Don't bring your dog unless you know they can handle it. There were a lot of people carrying small dogs.

a favorite as a local.

Took us 8.5 miles and 5 hours to complete this awesome trail with views in every direction including a 360 degree vantage point about mid way thru it; big effort but well worth it. Bring lots of water and plan on a jacuzzi when done

Visiting from Texas and staying at a hotel not far from the Trailhead. It was within walking distance and I was looking for an easy hike with a reward. The Lower Chimney fit this especially with a short climb to the summit. Spectacular payoff and 360 views of Sedona. Would recommend for families with preteens.

Relatively short and for the most part easy. There's one section getting near the top where you have to scramble up the rocks. There's also a side trail where you can view the arch from underneath which as worth the extra little walk. The trail was quite crowded so if I went again I would go during the week and even earlier in the morning

Awesome

Loved! Very scenic, a little crowded in am. Parking is pretty good if you get there early.

Very scenic, easy and not crowded if you go in the evening. Wrapped up hike right before sunset.

Yeah there’s some sandy bits early on, but it’s no biggy all in all. Very much a trail where you need to search for the excitement and views early on. Climbing the switchbacks and the clifftop traverse make the day. A trot up to secret mountain or the trail head are equally rewarding.

Completing a loop of Humphrey’s Peak this was an enjoyable return to the car.

A beautiful walk through the trees with great views. We used the trail as a descent from Humphrey’s Peak. There was plenty of snow on the trail and it was was passable, but not for the faint of heart.

Easy trail with good views.

This was much more my speed as a beginner vs the longer hike to the upper falls via Flume trail and in my opinion just as pretty. The only negative comment I have is the amount of people trying to drive Hondas or Prius. It's about a 30-45min drive down a rough dirt road. They didn't let the Jeeps like us and 4x4s pass and we saw a few get stuck. Common courtesy let people with more suitable
off-road vehicles pass.

30 minutes to the top with my 9 year old daughter. Spent 30-40 minutes at the top taking in the views.

Takes your breath away early on and keeps you excited. There are a few scrambles so I wouldn't recommend doing it while holding a toddler.. but we saw someone doing just that and they seemed OK.

Great hike.

Went this last weekend with my husband and friend- was absolutely stunning! Easy hike and well worth it! So many swimming holes! We were in a Kia and the ride down was a little nerve racking but slow and steady and you’ll be ok!

Extremely hard but worth it for the views. When you feel like quitting just keep going and you’ll be so happy when you see the end of trail sign!

Very forested which was nice. As others mentioned the first two miles are very sandy. I had a javelina charge me on this trail so beware. The red rock views are obstructed by the dense forest. Lots of shade. I only went three miles in then came back so maybe I missed the better views.

Toddler friendly hike. End has a nice rock scramble that is a must do...just not with the toddler. Beautiful views both ways from the top.

Backpacked in starting on the dirt road from the Dry Creek Trailhead parking lot. Adds more than 3 miles but we didn’t record b/c we’re dumb so not sure how many- by the scale on the map, looks about 5mi. It’s not strenuous by any means but it’s not shaded and it feels long.
The trail to secret canyon is beautiful and challenging, especially with packs, but worth it. Very secluded and lots of camping options along the trail as you make your way into the canyon. We didn’t hike all the way in, found a spot near water and camped, then hiked out the next day.

If you stick out a thumb and a bee you might get a free private pink Jeep tour from a local on the walk back :)

We took Chuck Wagon Trail there and back. We got there around 7:30am and easily found parking. Nice, easy hike most of the way. It was a little bit of a climb at the very end but nothing crazy and well worth it :)

The only reason I would rate this as moderate would be because it’s long and the hike up to cathedral. The loop is all flat with lots of mountain bikers but super pretty. Bring water not too much shade!

great views. lush trees!
