This app helped us stay on the correct trails. There are quite a few that intersect and can get a little confusing. We stopped and played in the creek for a while ... it was nice to cool off. I will definitely do this hike again.

Easy going, very crowded... pictures and time was worth it.

Didn't have a huge truck or ATV and arrived around 10:30 am on a Saturday so had to park on the side of the main road and walk all of the way to the trailhead, but it also offers some great scenic views and can be a good workout. The hike to the top was definitely worth it. There was a bit of climbing using all limbs, but that is a very small portion of the trail near the top. Great photo op and bring lots of water!

amazing place really easy hike

Most of the hike is easy. However there is almost no shade on the trail and it’s HOT!! Bring lots of water! Especially if there are no clouds in the sky like it was when we went.

Once you start getting towards the end it gets a little more challenging, but there are pretty good steps. The bridge is an incredible sight to see!

Depending on the time you go it can be pretty crowded, or not too bad.

Really boring hike with minimal challenge. Had wait 25-30 people to get on the bridge...so it’s a bit slow and crowded

Gorgeous home through the trees with a nice contrasting view of green trees and brown hills

Beautiful scenery.

This is a moderate trail. The bridge itself scared me, not really because of the danger of such natural architecture, but because of the superhuman nature of the other visitors. Respect this bridge!

The first 1.5 miles are easy to moderate, the last .5 is a series of well constructed steps etc..

Tip, Bring eyewear. The blowing red dust can be an irritant. Beautiful. But annoying.

We brought a novice hiker with us and completed it in about 2.5 hours. It was a great hike.

We hike a lot - we made a rookie mistake on hydration. Today, in June, you needed at least two liters, or 4 bottles, per person. Don’t make this mistake - please!

Went all the way to the arch, past end of trail. Returned back to 89A. Garmin shows 8.5 miles round trip. Great hike. Saw a lot of poison Ivy along trail. 4hours round trip with weighted backpack.

loved the views! I did this with friends during the heat of the day. we had to stop a couple times on our way up to take water breaks. I would do this one again and probably do it before the afternoon in the summer time.

Amazing views of Sedona the entire length of the trail. It’s a little tricky navigating where to park, and how to get to the actual trailhead. Luckily we ran into a ranger that helped us figure it out. Have to walk about a mile down a dirt road before reaching the actual trailhead. Trail overall is pretty simple. I little bit of steepness closer to the top. But once you reach the actual bridge it is AMAZING!

Great Hike with awsome surroundings! The hike is easy most of the time. The last bit going up, however, is moderate (and can be hard during the heat of the day).
We started the hike at noon, which I wouldn't recommend, as temperatures climbed up to about 104°F.
The views from the bridge - and the bridge itself - are wonderful.

Great views from the top. The hike was challenging at times but I’m very new at hiking. Definitely recommend this trail. Make sure you get there early as it gets very crowded.

walking out onto the bridge can be a bit unnerving at first, especially if you're afraid of heights, but well worth the view.

Definitely be sure to pack extra water. the trail gets progressively steeper as you approach the end.

Great trail. Started from the Mescal trailhead on Long Canyon Road. And took Mescal and Chuckwagon trails to the Devils Bridge trail.

Great hike to do in the morning if you’re going in the hotter months. Walking from the first parking lot to the trail head (about a mile) is pretty much all shaded. Once past the trailhead there’s pretty good shade coverage, as well. Once the sun is higher up though, the shade is gone, so go early. You’ll want to go early anyways to get a parking spot. (There’s more parking at the trailhead, but it’s down a rocky dirt road, so this is only for cars with high coverage.)

We took our dog, a husky mix, and she did great with the trail. It is true that at the very end there’s a couple sets of very, very steep rock steps. If your dog is a strong hiker they should be okay. Our dog did better than us coming down. But if your dog is uncomfortable coming down rocks, best to live them back home.

My wife and I hiked this trail a few the first week of May, 2018. We are trying to get more active as we reach our 50's. I am a bit overweight but still fairly active and my wife is in decent shape. I am conditioning for a backpacking trip I have planned with two of my adult sons.
We walked the road route from the furthest parking area. I carried a full pack of about 35lbs and my wife carried a day pack. The area is beautiful, the majority of the hike I would rate as easy and only the last 30 minutes was strenuous but we both made it without much trouble with our packs. The views from the top of the bridge were breathtaking. Great day hike in the Sedona area.

The views are amazing!! Trail wasn't bad, just some climbing towards the top but so worth it

This was me and my girlfriends first hike in Sedona. We went during the middle of the day so it was about 100 deg. It took us 3 hours and it was a tad over 5 miles. We brought lots of water, sunscreen and hats to protect us from the sun so it wasn’t bad at all. This was an absolutely beautiful hike to introduce us to Sedona. A very nice mellow hike without a lot of elevation change at all. We went on a Monday and had the whole trail to ourselves.

This hike was just what we were looking for. We only had a couple hours to spend in Sedona before going on to the grand canyon and this hike definitely gave us a little bit of everything. Amazing views and relatively easy overall.

Moderate to difficult depending on time of year visited. I just did this hike the other day beginning of June in the afternoon between 3-530pm. It was so hot! Our fault for not going earlier but here is my groups take on this hike:

Do not bring your dog here. Especially in hot summer arid heart. There isn't much shade to rest in and it's very rugged terrain for a majority of the trail but moreso once you get to the hike up the summit. it's a very steep climb. Take breaks you'll get winded. Esp due to the 6000-6200ft elevation. I would never take my dogs to the top but on the trail might be OK if it's not too hot. Bring lots of water.

We are all in very good shape too. This trail in the heat and direct sun really took a toll on us.

Be careful, know your weather and choose early morning or late afternoon into evening for this hike. And please don't take your dog esp during hot sunny hours. every dog i saw was whining/crying and trying to get in the shade with the owners making them walk more. You'll be walking on red sand that gets extremely hot to the touch so be considerate of your dogs paws.

A great hike with an amazing natural bridge at the end. We arrived at 7:15am and when we got to the bridge there were 10 people at the top. Had a fun time taking turns, taking photos. Then as we headed down we probably passed 35-40 people. Was so glad we got up early to do this hike.

We hiked this a couple days ago and it was absolutely beautiful! We took the trail all the way out to the bridge and then on our way back we took the road route.

As people have mentioned, going early means very few others. But then there’s no one to take your picture on the bridge. If you don’t have the picture, did you even do it??? #firstworldproblems
In seriousness, it’s magnificent.

Easy off road trail. Good trail to get your feet wet. Excellent .75 mike hike at the end. Hard trail to hike, but worth it at the end. If you got the nerve climb out on the arch. Good picture point.
