Photos of Coconino National Forest Camping Trails

Beautiful trail. It almost looks like Sedona in the beginning, then goes through a forest setting before arriving at the lake. It’s 4.5 miles (ONE WAY) until you reach the lake. The first 2 miles are STEEP, and the loose rock was slippery on the way back down. Cairns guide the way, so is easy to follow even where overgrown {when doing as an out and back}. Saw a coral snake and lots of animal droppings. The creeks are currently dry minus the lake, but would be multiple crossings in another season. Saw some fall leaves!
