Great easy loop with one of a kind views of giant Quartz rock. Great Desert Scenery and make sure you take plenty of water. If you are looking for a longer but easy loop, this is an easy loop to hike inside the Cave Creek Park. Be aware that there is an entrance fee (per Car) to get into the Park. There is no water and very little shade, so make sure you go prepared.Show more

$7.00 Fee This is a pleasant out and back that is very close to the Visitor Center. Its not too difficult but there is quite a few easy elevation changes. The hike itself is quite nice on a well used trail. Be aware that the first 1/4 mile (starting from the Overton Trail) is the main path used by the horse rental facility, so there are a lot of horses on that stretch of the trail. At the end of the trail you are rewarded with an interesting mine entrance. Overall fairly easy, worth doing at least once to see the mine, or a convenient way of adding and extra 1.6 miles to the Overton loop.Show more
