I decided to go clockwise starting at the Slate trailhead, then heading north on the Jasper Trail to the Go John Trail and finishing up on the Quartz and Slate trails. Started at mid-morning when it already was hot. There is no shade so bring plenty of water. The trails are well maintained and clearly marked. It is impossible to inadvertently go off-trail. Nice scenery along the way, except for the Slate Trail which is kind of boring. Admission fee to the park is now $7.

The perfect scenic trail. Never crowded so you get the place to yourself.

Great loop for kids.

great trail! a lot of variety, well marked, clear paths. Lots to see! The Quartz rocks are beautiful. A little bit of shade along the way. I started at Go John then took the Quartz trail to Slate trail and back to the parking areas, which took a little over an hour. a little bit of incline the first half, then the second half is mostly decline or flat. went on a Saturday and think I saw a total of 4 or 5 people on that trail. pushed back far enough from main roads that it really does feel desolate and peaceful. there is a $6 day pass fee, but definitely worth it!

Trail is well maintained. Moderate due to distance but no strenuous sections. Exposed so bring water if doing summer or midday.

Nice views and well maintained trails. Wish it would have had mike markers. Otherwise great hike!

Went late morning on a Saturday, and even though there wasn't a whole lot of parking available I didn't come across a lot of people on the trail. Only encountered one biker. My dog loved it and we saw a Gila monster!

Great views with some elevation, but not challenging. There's a beautiful quartz outcropping on, of course, the Quartz Trail section. Quartz and Slate sections have several benches.

This was a great hike. You do not see many houses and feels remote and very quiet. We only encountered a few other hikers. There are a few nice short cardio elevation gains but it is mostly quite nice.

Great trail, saw 3 rattlesnakes

Modest elevation, good surface on trail, and lots of nice views. There is an entrance fee, but worth it.

I really loved this hike. Gorgeous views pretty much the whole way, and we only saw a handful of people. We did it clockwise and it started off with an incline but then was fairly steady with up and down inclines. I def think it would have been harder counter clock wise!

In a nice, protected area. No man made distractions.
Trail well maintained and marked. Seemed to be popular with equestrian and bikers, but not congested in the least.
Note: there is an entrance fee to the park ($6 for my day pass)

Wonderful trail. Great for trail running, biking or hiking. No too difficult but you get a good workout! I started at the Overton TH to the GJ trail. Hiked north up GJ to catch the elevation. Nice views. Some homes. Some people. Not too many. Definitely will do again!

Great scenery !

Beautiful hike, all the quartz was very cool, scenic, quite easy short hike

Just did this trail today with my wife and a friend. Did the 6 mile look in 2.5 hours. Very easy trail, just longer. There are connecting trails, but the trail is clearly marked so you will not get lost. Absolutely recommend to other hiking fans that want something not so steep.

Nice trail good views

We did this hike counter clockwise and added the Clay Mine Trail to lengthen the overall hike. This is more of an easy trail than moderate although there are a few moderate climb and decent areas. Most of the trail is smooth which explains the more than usual bike traffics. Our total hike was 7.4 miles in 3:15 stopping 20 minutes for lunch. Overall a nice hike and great way to spend and afternoon. Plenty of parking and restrooms at trail heads
