Scenic drive with many places to camp. We drove in and out in a 4x4 truck... although a small suv, like a Subaru or similar, could make it ok, I recommend a vehicle with a higher ground clearance for the muddier water crossings and some of the worsening sections of the trail. Do not forget to bring extra water in case you get stuck, while there were many people passing along the trail during the day, hardly anyone is out after sunset. We saw various wildlife including javelina, so keep them in mind if you decide to camp overnight or longer. The trip starting from Cave Creek and ending at the Sheep Herders bridge took approximately 3 hours, with various stops for pictures, restroom breaks, etc. I recommend planning for this trip to take at least 6 hours round trip, and that doesn't leave much time for swimming or anything.

A lot of nice views.

Bridge is neat. Pretty views. Bump ride not for cars but stock SUV would be fine.

Nice area past Cave Creek. It is an easy trail for SUVs. More difficult are some of the off-roading trails that connect to Camp Creek. Would not recommend just going on Camp Creek, try one of the other trails that connects to it.
