Incredible hike with amazing views of ocean, bays, and snow covered mountains. This is a fairly steep climb but the trail is well maintained. It has a cool rain forest feel. We had perfect weather during this hike/trail run at the end of May. Slide down some snow on Verstovia.

Loved this hike. Nice variety in terrain and scenery. The rock field at the Glacier is a bit challenging on the way down.. went with Packer Expeditions - wonderful!

Excellent hike with beautiful views. The hike along the ridge is worth the effort of climbing hundreds of stairs!

Love this trail. Quick and easy but an amazing view! Perfect for dogs. Also, there are always many friendly people on the trail.

Good hike for a short Port Visit on a Cruise. The undeveloped section was not a problem and just a short distance before opening to a nice easy gravel trail. We would definitely hike it again.

Beautiful views. Go early to avoid crowds

Nice hike to view a waterfall. Well maintained trail. Actually saw a family pushing a wheelchair on the trail.

This trail was the perfect way to stretch our legs after two days at sea. It features beautiful views of town and of the forrest. I would suggest grabbing an Uber at port and have them take you to the trailhead at the University. At the end of the hike, look for the public library, hang a right and take the steep road down and into town. This trail is not for strollers and will be a challenge for those without hiking boots. We witnessed several hikers in sneakers who struggled in the muddy, rocky, and steep areas.

The trail is great then view at the end is ok.

OK for a short hike (so many other more beautiful trails). Lightly trafficked; we lost the trail a few times; needs more ribbons (but you really can't get lost with the water always visible). Be sure to do both Glacier Trails!

Easy hike. Breathtaking scenery!

Easy, Gorgeous after first big snow of the season!

Nice trail! the last section of boardwalk was all icy & packed down by lots of hikers so it was a bit sketchy.

Great hike, great views

Beautiful easy hike. Great views of Mendenhall Glacier. The waterfall is huge and you can get up close to it. There is also a nice visitor center at the head of the trail. I know this trail can be crazy busy. We hit it just right in the middle of September and hiked it before the cruise ship came into port. We saw maybe a total of ten people the whole time. Worth the hike, just plan around the cruise ship schedule so it's not to crowded.

It was a beautiful hike walking on the glacier was a great time. Did this hike on 09/13/17. I booked it though Packer Expeditions our guides Andy and Smith are great

Easy trail with nice views of Nugget Falls and Mendenhall Glacier. Only downside is the large number of other people on the trail.

Cool Trail

Great trail to walk your dogs where they can run free. Much less congested than the airport dike trail.

Great trail for a nice walk. Been here a few times and keep going back.

This trail was absolute perfection!!!!! We carried on to summit Arrowhead, so the entire hike was 8 hours with an hour break at Arrowhead peak. I highly recommend this hike, and plan to do it again next time I'm in town!

Steps wether stone or wooden are nicely spaced. Much better than Verstovia trail. I'm sorry to say. Top views are panoramic in places.

very easy, more of a stroll than a hike. wonderful views

Short beautiful green rainy hike. Easy hike wear hiking boots. Muddy.

We started at the college and passed the middle trail head to the end. Head east after steps to library and then down the road downtown. End up at 49er bar
