the falls are a gorgeous cascading stair step, but it was very crowded and there were beer cans strewn in the creek.

I hate to give three stars but the trails are not clearly market. Several trails branch off the main one and it’s easy to get lost. Even using this app we got lost because it shown that we were on track at one moment then it updated and had us way off the trail the next. The scenery was amazing, that’s a five star view!!!! The walk wasn’t hard at all, my 5 yo twins did just fine. We found a rock facing to have a picnic and just enjoyed the view.

Loved the hike. I carried my 5 yo twins and it was a little challenging. We decided to stay to the right of the trail and take the long way around. Took the other route on the way back. I was a little nervous walking up the side of the hill because the trail was so close to the edge. Just made sure I had a firm grip on the twins until we made it up. It’s a simple walk for the most part. The water fall was breathtaking. We will definitely hike this trail again.

It was a good hike. The scenery is beautiful. Downside is that the trail markers are not the greatest. It’s easy in a few spots to get lost. Our group ended up going an extra mile out of the way before we got back on the trail. Overall though was worth it.

Always one of my favorite places I can capture some great images up there.

Nice little hike. Very up and down, but not hard at all until you can hear the water where it drops down to the waterfall. So the hike out can be tough if you aren’t fit.

Always a favorite peaceful place and a good swimming hole for the kids in the summer.

Falls are right off road. I imagine this place is crowded in the summer. Volunteer group was there cleaning up trash...it's too easy to get to honestly.

beautiful place. the falls are great!

I hiked this with my two boys (6 and 9) and we had a blast. The hike down to the falls was easy, back up it's steap but they ran up it most of the way. The falls were beautiful and we had a lot of fun hiking off trail around the area, mostly following the stream and skipping rocks.

Short and easy to follow. Not very scenic until you reach the falls and then it’s absolutely magnificent! After the spectacle keep hiking creek side for a bit to reach the lower falls.

Had a great hike met lots of nice people

I recommend only hiking to the big tree then turning around if you want to stay by water

Beautiful . We took my daughter with her month old daughter and our 3 year old and had no problems.

Easy walk in and out. Well worth the short trek.

Beautiful and runnable for the most part. I did miss a turn at one point and had to backtrack. I would rank this trail as easy. The access road has some rough patches, but I made it fine in my camper van. I will definitely return to explore some more.

Wonderful short and easy trail that takes you a large stairstrp cascade. Follow the trail further downstream and climb down for a different view and a hidden secret falls across the river.

Took a Boy Scout Troop to hike and camp on 206. Beautiful scenery and lots to explore near Needle's Eye and Ships Rock. Look forward to returning to continue the exploration.

Beautiful summertime swimming hole.

Busy, family fun day hike.

Beautiful falls. The trail is only a couple hundred feet, but it's very steep with no stairs. Kids really enjoyed climbing over the rocks at the bottom.

Length of the entire trail (there and back) is about three miles.

Nice trail that winds through a few different types of forest. Some parts have been heavily hit by pine beetles.

The trail widens out under a grove of hemlock. Very pretty with ample shade. The creek is clear with a sandy bottom. Good for wading.

The path leading down to the falls is hidden. Head to the right along the top of the cliff. It's just below the edge. Very narrow.

Once you're down there, you can walk under the falls themselves. My four girls really got a kick out of this one. :)

Took 206 in on Friday night. Went ahead and hiked down 209 towards Bee Branch. Lot of trees down along the way but the trail is well defined. We were going to go to the big tree on Saturday morning and finish out on the Outlaw trail back to Thompson trail head but managed to get extremely lost at the 209 end junction and hiked a mile or so to know where. Never could locate a defined trail or the outlaw trail. The area we wound up in was very hard and a ton of downed trees. This was our first time so I’m sure we just missed something. Ended up doubling back and going back out the same way we came in but skipping going through the eye of the needle. 13 miles total but enjoyed it.

Although it’s beautiful, if you will go down creek just a bit you will find lower caney creek falls. Very beautiful.

Pretty boring trail but the waterfall at the end makes the hike worth it.
