There were many fallen trees over the trail, but trail was still easy to see and follow. I was surprised at the number of ticks. We used DEET and still had 8 ticks on us.

Fun hike. Nicely covered with trees and good breeze. No huge changes in elevation. Nore of a nice stroll. High point for pictures. Good view of surrounding area going around mountaintop. Good markings and clear trail.

Devils Race Track -Rock Wall-Harris-Wade Mtn-Harris-Devils Race Track Took a wrong turn and didn’t do the main loop of Devils Race Track. So I’ll be back for that and a couple other side trails. Very nice day to be in the shade. Lots of blowdowns on Wade Mtn trail.

Nice hike. Trail is rated as moderate but there are many flat easy sections and what climbs there are are not bad if you have a trekking pole. The Fossil Bench Trail plays out pretty quickly after it intersects the Bostic trail. I would recommend instead of trying to do the out and back just get on the Bostic trail. There is a little more climbing involved but there are some really neat rock formations to see.

I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old, they love this trail. My three year old needs help at some spots, but it is overall, a great trail.

I would consider this trail to be easy to moderate. Scenery is boring. Just another walk in the woods. There was some lovely trees blooming and a variety of butterflies. Also note you may be sharing the trail with horses. We didn't run into any on our hike but did have to dodge horse poop.

This is a good trail that I really enjoy, but after all the rain a lot of the trails are washed out with a fair amount of standing water. Several sections where the water is around 2 inches deep.

Long, flat, paved, boring walk to access the hiking trail. Do yourself a favor and use the other trailhead that leads straight to the hiking trails.

Great trail, I didn't wanna stop and wanted to continue but I got a late start. I'll definitely be back for an all day hike.

my local trail and mountain. watch for occasional rattle snake.

I really liked this trail! It offered different views including a waterfall and some green paths even in the winter. It was a great length, and I agree with the moderate rating. The dogs loved it, too!

Great hike. Love all the rocks!

Went there today and really enjoyed it. Past the pavement is great for a mountain bike. Saw 3 deer and of course squirrels. Nice trails, quiet woods. Wanted to check out fossil bench trail but not reachable on bike. Hiked and pushed and then turned around. Just did the loop a few times.

This trail is somewhat extensive beyond this starting point. My husband and I go in the opposite end via Spragins Hollow Rd. There’s a great little parking lot and sign there with a map of the trails. We went most recently in July. Lots of foliage and wild life, we spotted a deer up near the loop of Devil’s Racetrack. It was very muddy this time of year, but no biggie if you’re surefooted. I’m really looking forward to taking my kids, as the trail isn’t too difficult that they couldn’t handle it.

It was lovely. I saw wild flowers, heard birds chirping, and saw many animals and insects

A nice hike but the views we're nothing special this time of year. Only two short uphills, the rest is easy walking.

The first mile or so of the hike is on the paved green way which detracts from it being a hike in the wilderness. It’s not a bad thing but it ends up being two miles on pavement. A little to much civilization for me. It’d be a fun little walk for a family or just anyone wanting to walk for exercise.

Good exercise. Saw some interesting rock formations and several antler scrapes.
