Some neighborhood running, crossing a creek, and a moderate hill, but otherwise a beautiful exploration and trail!

A very nice municipal park for walking or jogging...and that is all it was ever intended to be. The one star reviews have me wondering whether the reviewer was expecting something else.

I ran here after a lot of rain so I didn’t have a great experience. At one segment you have to cross a creek which left me with some muddy shoes and blisters. Pretty trail, just wish it was longer with an option to bypass the water.

Trail is currently closed for construction. I had to give a star to comment so don't have a rating yet!

Nice trail to walk, run, or bike, decent views of city. This is fully paved so "trail" is subjective. This trail is also totally flat so I'm not sure why it's ranked as moderate.

Easy walk

Partially paved, and beyond that well trodden. not a terribly difficult circuit, with a healthy walk through a neighborhood.

I didn't really like this trail. It was too short. The parking space is too small. People blocking people in. It was just too crowded.
I liked the view of the city, the vulcan, the wbrc sign. That's about it.

One of the best trails to walk from mid winter to late spring as it is a haven for many different Trillium species. At times when the stream reaches its highest point of water flow, it is a good place to begin an angling experience.

Serene park, very wooded next to a lovely stream. Optional paved or natural paths, picnic tables, restful benches with scenic views. We'll maintained, but watch for snakes!

Short trail, amazing views of the city

A mix of gravel, asphalt and dirt trails. My biggest complaint is that my shoes got soaking wet during an unavoidable creek crossing. Generally I stray away from blisters. Nice stretch through the woods but pretty crowded and I ended up crossing roads in a neighborhood. Some pretty areas but not well marked and not what I expected.

Good trail but didn't feel the safest.

Beautiful and had a nice mix of trail and sidewalk to keep things from getting boring

Great trail but I recommend a firearm.

Good trail. Always bring someone with you. It's not the safest area.

Good walk. Can go up Balmoral and back down Overbrook if you want to add some hills.

Jemison Park is located on a flood plain in Mt. Brook-Birmingham, an expensive section of the city. The path is half paved and half crushed gravel and offers an easy 'walk through the park.' The path is near a main neighborhood road and cars can be heard going by. Even though road noise is heard, about half the trail has HUGE Loblolly Pines five to eight feet in circumfrence. I was amazed at the sheer number and size of the pines. It is rare to see so many in one location. A creek runs the entire path length and is clean. There is one footpath cross over that the hiker has to 'step' on concrete steps to make it across.

The tree canopy keeps the entire path shaded and the benches along the way allow for a rest and reflection. The only drawback is during the hot periods of summer there is no breeze in some sections and it gets as hot as an Asian jungle. But just keeping walking and it gets cooler. Bikes can be ridden, but the concrete path is narrow for bikers and walkers together.
